Asian Football Club Champions League (AFC Champions League) is an intercontinental competition sponsored by AFC, which represents the highest competitive level of Asian football. The teams in the AFC Champions League in 2005 came from four countries in Asia/KLOC-0. Last year, 28 teams won the national league championship and the FA Cup. The team that wins the AFC Champions League will represent Asia in the 2005 FIFA Club World Championship.
The 28 teams participating in the group competition are divided into 7 groups according to the principle of geographical division. Four teams ranked first in each group qualified and entered the eighth finals together with the last AFC Champions League champion. The round robin system is adopted for the group matches, and the home and away elimination system is adopted after the 1/4 finals.

On the afternoon of 65438+February 17 Beijing time, the draw ceremony for the top 28 AFC Champions League 2008 was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Changchun Yatai and Beijing Guoan, who represented China in the AFC Champions League for the first time, were inevitably besieged by Japanese, Korean and Australian clubs. In the end, Changchun Yatai was in Group E with Adelaide (Australia), Posco Steel (Korea) and Pingyang (Vietnam), and the qualifying situation was very severe. According to the AFC Champions League draw rules, 28 teams are divided into 7 groups, 4 of which are from West Asia, Central Asia and South Asia, and the other 3 are from East Asia and Southeast Asia. The first place in each group will qualify for elimination, while the defending champion Japan's Urawa Ruby team will automatically advance to the quarter-finals.
The 2008 AFC Champions League will be fully kicked off on March 12, 2008. The dates of the six rounds of group matches are: March 12, March 19, April 9, April 23, May 7 and May 2 1. From September 17 to 24, the quarter-finals started,1two semi-finals on October 8 and 22,1October 5 and1October 2.
