Where did the East Factory and the West Factory of Royal Guards in Ming Dynasty come from?

1. Jinyiwei was a famous secret service in Ming Dynasty. Its predecessor was "Gong Weisi" established by Zhu Yuanzhang, the great ancestor of Ming Dynasty, and later it was renamed "Pro-military Dewey House", in charge of Yiluan Division and the ceremonial guards of the emperor. In the fifteenth year of Hongwu (1382), the pro-army Dewey House and Yiluan Division were abolished and changed to Royal Guards.

2. East Factory, official signature. That is, Tokyo Factory, the privileged supervisory organ, secret service organ and secret police organ of China in Ming Dynasty. In the 18th year of Yongle (1420), Ming Taizu Chengzu established Dongjing Factory (referred to as Dongjing Factory for short), which was headed by a trusted eunuch. Dongchang is the earliest national spy intelligence agency established in the history of the world, with branches as far away as the Korean peninsula.

3. West Factory is the official name peculiar to Ming Dynasty, and its full name is "Xiji Factory". In order to strengthen the spy rule, in the 13th year of Chenghua (1477), Ming Xianzong added the West Factory outside the East Factory, and called it the Factory Guard together with the East Factory and the Royal Guards, and appointed eunuch Wang Zhi as the prefect. His influence surpassed that of the East Factory, and his activities spread all over the country from Beijing.
