Soft tennis was born in Japan and became a performance event in Beijing/KOOC-0//KOOC-0/Asian Games, and then became a formal event in Hiroshima/KOOC-0/2 Asian Games. Soft tennis is a rubber ball, which needs to be inflated and has certain requirements on air pressure. A racket is smaller than a tennis racket, and its material is similar to that of a tennis racket. Soft tennis courts, like tennis courts, can be played outdoors and indoors. Soft tennis court mainly includes hard court, sandy land (red soil) and grass (artificial grass).
The scoring rules of soft tennis are different from tennis. The competition adopts the best of seven games (singles) or the best of nine games (doubles), and the winner is the one who scores four points in each game. If there is a 3-draw in singles or 4-draw in doubles, a 7-game or 9-game tie breaker will be held, and the winner of this game will be the winner.
Competition method of soft tennis team competition
(1) Each team competition consists of three doubles and two singles, and the best-of-five system is adopted. The order of the five games is: the first doubles, the second singles, the third doubles, the fourth singles and the fifth doubles.
(2) Each team can register 4-6 people for each team competition, and each player can play twice at most in a team competition.
(3) The first and third doubles players are not allowed to play again. The second and fourth singles matches cannot be played by the same player.
(4) Two wins in seven games in a single game and two wins in nine games in doubles.
(5) This law is applicable to men's and women's team competitions.
There are men's and women's team events and doubles, but singles are generally not. In the team competition, each team plays 3 pairs of doubles, and the winner is 2 games. The game adopts two wins in nine games or two wins in seven games, and the result is the same as that of tennis.
