I met those old days in Luodai (1).

The western Sichuan plain, east of Chengdu, is an ancient town that makes people dream.

The sun passed through Longquan Mountain, and the exquisite carvings on the archway at the foot of the mountain gradually became bright. The ancient town behind the memorial archway is green and simple, but times have changed and it is still independent. The sun swept the top of the mountain, and the noise of last night faded with the neon. The clouds are clear and the dew is shining, and the ancient town is quietly waiting for another round of noise.

(1) Silent Randeng Temple.

There is a poem in Liusha River: jade belt falls into the well and flows into the East China Sea, and the iron bell rings in the pavilion.

The well mentioned here is the octagonal well.

Bajiaojing is next to ancient Randeng Temple. Open the manhole cover above and you can still see the clear water in the well. It is said that the old people in the town sometimes come to the well to fetch water. As for whether it is connected with the East China Sea, you don't have to pay attention to it.

Red walls and blue tiles, ancient temples burning lamps, reveal a kind of solemnity and majesty. Sichuan Daxiong Hall, Bell and Drum Tower, Niangniang Hall, Daxiong Hall (Luohan Hall), Guanyin Hall, and the ancient Buddha Hall with burning lamps are one after another. On the heavy colonnade, there are intriguing couplets, written in hot stamping characters, or lines or grass. Against the dark paint of the colonnade, they are as eye-catching as the contents. All kinds of auspicious animals are lifelike and arranged on the cornices according to some unknown law, which adds a mysterious power to this ancient temple.

Since it is called Randeng Temple, there is no shortage of burning Buddha in the temple. However, the Buddha of Light is made of pure iron, and its body has 108 acupoints, and each acupoint has a nest-like hole with a wick built in it. When all the fuel is ignited, it is bright. According to legend, every time a believer is unwell, it is very effective to light his lamp at the corresponding acupoint to eliminate disasters and diseases. Therefore, it is well-known, and the temple was renamed "Randeng Temple", which has been passed down to this day.

In people's impression, the temple hosts are all men, but the hosts in Randeng Temple are women. It turns out that this temple is also divided into male temples and female temples, but there are few female temples, so it is not well known to the public. In Hangzhou, there is a women's temple called Xiatianzhu Temple, which is also called the Quiet Temple of Practice. It is also the only female temple among many temples in Hangzhou, with a history of 1600 years.

/kloc-at the age of 0/6, Fang Chuan, the hostess of the ancient temple of burning lamps, left home to practice penance at Jinsha Temple in Caoshi Street, Chengdu, following the strengths and weaknesses of the teacher's father. 1994, she was admitted to Zhong Ni Buddhist College in Sichuan. In 2004, she came to Randeng Temple to take charge of the temple work.

In Luodai, the worship of Buddhism is very strong, but few people know Buddhism, and most of them burn incense and run incense. The arrival of Fang Chuan changed this situation. She recited the scriptures for the believers, taught the meaning to the Buddha, and made the rituals of the local people more standardized.

Randeng Temple is bustling, but the temple is very clean and even makes people feel a little deserted. Unlike some monasteries, where tourists are weaving and believers are burning incense vigorously, the monasteries that should be clean become noisy. Every time a believer comes, a monk-like person will stand up and say something that scares the believers, then buy incense at a high price and ask an expensive object that has been lit to protect the people concerned, and their worries will dissipate. This is mixed with the incense of the market, which is far from the meaning of Buddhism.

In fact, no fewer than 20 businessmen came to talk about cooperation with Master Fang Chuan, but all of them were rejected by Master Fang Chuan. "Randeng Temple should not be full of business atmosphere, and it would be good to provide people with a quiet spiritual place." . With more than 30 years of practice, Master Fang Chuan has successfully kept Randeng Temple clean. A businessman who originally wanted to transform Randeng Temple was moved by the abbot's idea. He not only gave up the idea of business transformation, but also voluntarily donated 50,000 yuan for temple charity.

Buddhism aims at universal salvation. The activities of burning lamps and angels in the ancient temple organized by Master Fang Chuan have a special weight in her heart. Under the contact of lay people who are enthusiastic about public welfare, disabled children and their parents from all over the country come to Randeng Temple for a seven-day psychological comfort retreat every month. Most of their families are in financial difficulties, and the whole activity is provided by Randeng Temple. The abbot and Randeng Temple's masters will give psychological counseling to children and their parents, recite speeches, and help these unfortunate families live in a healthier and more optimistic mood.

With a compassionate heart, to soothe people's suffering, inspire people's hearts, develop people's wisdom, and help people face life more actively, Master Fang Chuan will keep the purity of Randeng Temple, keep the initial heart of Buddhism, cultivate one's morality and cultivate one's character, and extradite all beings.

There is an iron bell in the temple, named Ming Xuande Bell, which is displayed in the Hall of Ursa Major. Every time it rings, the sound quality is loud. The bell flew out of the ancient temple, accompanied by solemn funerals and prayers, flew over the treetops, floated over the ancient town, and echoed for a long time on the western Sichuan plain.
