What are the pilot cities of digital RMB?

Not long ago, the Ministry of Commerce of China issued the "Overall Plan for Comprehensively Deepening the Innovation and Development of Service Trade", which mentioned that digital RMB should be piloted in pilot areas with conditions in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Yangtze River Delta, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the central and western regions.

The central bank has also formulated policy safeguard measures: first, it will be promoted by Shenzhen, Chengdu, Suzhou, xiong'an new area and other relevant departments in the future Winter Olympics, and then it will be promoted to other regions according to the situation.

The pilot cities mainly include: Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Chongqing (Fuling District and other 2 1 municipal districts), Hainan, Dalian, Xiamen, Qingdao, Shenzhen, Shijiazhuang, Changchun, Harbin, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Hefei, Jinan, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Guiyang, Kunming, Xi 'an, Urumqi, Suzhou.

In fact, with the continuous development of digital currency, the central bank, the concept of "digital RMB" has gradually replaced the previously published "DC/EP" and has gradually become familiar to people. Wang Yongli, former deputy governor of Bank of China, once wrote that this change is to avoid the mistake of thinking that the central bank will introduce digital currency, which is a new monetary system other than RMB.
