Since the 1932 Olympic Games, whenever an event is over, these ceremonies will be held in the venues immediately, instead of waiting until all the events are over.
Extended data:
Olympic champion and runner-up station and award ceremony;
The IOC has stipulated the ceremony for awarding medals: during the Olympic Games, medals shall be awarded by the IOC President (or a member selected by him) accompanied by the President of the relevant international individual sports federations (or his representative).
Immediately after each competition, prizes will be awarded in the following way at the competition venue: the top three athletes are dressed in formal clothes or sportswear, facing the official seats (in the middle of the champion station, to the right of the runner-up, to the left of the runner-up, and the champion station is slightly higher than the runner-up and runner-up), and then their names and the names of other winners will be announced.
The flag of the champion delegation should be raised from the central flagpole, and the flags of the second and third delegations should be raised from the flagpoles near the left and right sides of the central flagpole respectively. When playing the national anthem of the champion delegation, medal winners should face the national flag.
