What do the International Badminton Federation and BWF standards mean?

Badminton's International Badminton Federation and BWF are actually the same. IBF is the predecessor of BWF.

In 2006, the General Assembly of the International Badminton Federation passed a resolution on 24th, changing the official name of the International Badminton Federation (IBF) to the Badminton World Federation (BWF).

Badminton World Federation (BWF) is an international badminton management organization, established in 1934, headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with 163 full member associations. The task of the World Badminton Federation is to popularize and develop the world badminton and strengthen the ties between badminton associations in various countries.
