Tour guide qualification certificate, referred to as "tour guide certificate", can only be obtained by passing the national tour guide qualification examination. It is a legal certificate that the holder is legally registered as a tour guide in People's Republic of China (PRC) and can engage in tour guide activities. Obtaining the temporary tour guide qualification certificate of travel agency is only the first step to become a tour guide; To really engage in the tour guide profession, you must also obtain a national tour guide certificate according to law.
The tourist guide card is the proof of the professional behavior ability of the tour guide, the external symbol of the tour guide's identity, and the certificate that the state allows to engage in tour guide work. According to the Regulations on the Administration of Tour Guides, you must obtain a tour guide certificate to engage in tour guide activities in People's Republic of China (PRC).
Students majoring in tourism management in the College of Liberal Arts can obtain a tour guide card, and other students with hobbies can also apply for it.

The interview process of the tourist guide card exam is as follows:

1. sign-in: candidates need to arrive at the designated place at the specified sign-in time, otherwise it will be regarded as giving up the exam.
2. Receiving the registration form: Candidates receive the registration form for the on-site examination in the waiting area, and fill in the information such as name, admission ticket number and application language.
3. Draw lots to determine the scenic spots: Candidates arrive at the drawing places in turn, randomly select the scenic spots and sign for confirmation, and the staff will arrange examination rooms for them.
4. Entering the examination room: After the candidates enter the examination room, they will give the admission ticket, ID card and on-site examination registration form to the examination room staff and stand about 2 meters away from the examiner to prepare for the examination.
5. Start the exam: the examiner announces the start of the exam, and the candidates conduct on-site mock exams according to the requirements of the examiner.
6. End the exam: After the exam, the candidates get back the admission ticket and ID card, exit the examination room and leave the examination area.
