League of Legends S 12 Global Finals Watch Guide
The 2022 League of Legends Global Finals is just around the corner! The competition will open on September 29th at Artz Pedregal E-sports Gymnasium in Mexico City.
What is the global finals?
League of Legends Global Finals is an annual top international competition. Every year, top teams compete for the Summoner's Cup and the global championship on the stage of the global finals. In order to qualify for the finals, more than 100 League of Legends e-sports teams from 12 Division have been competing for a year, with more than 800 contestants. The global finals will be held in different regions every year, and this year's competition will be held in four cities in North America.
When will the global finals be held?

What kind of competition system does the competition adopt?

Where will the global finals be held?
The 2022 League of Legends Global Finals will be held in Mexico City on September 29th. It closed at 1 1.5 in San Francisco.

Who are the participating teams?
The number of promotion teams in each division will be determined according to their previous performance in international competitions. For the stronger division, the promotion teams may all enter the group stage directly; However, there may be fewer seed teams in other divisions who directly advance to the group stage, or they all need to start from the finalists.

How are these teams grouped?
Final stage
12 teams in the final stage will be divided into three preliminary draw groups:
● Group A reserves: RNG, DRX, FNC and BYD.
● Group B reserves: FNC, EG, SGB and DFM.
* Group C reserves: Swiss francs, IW, ISG and LOUD.
On September 12, we drew lots to divide these teams into two finalists. Each final group includes two teams from reserve groups A, B and C. Teams in the same group will not be divided into the same group.

12 teams in the group stage will be divided into three preliminary draw groups:
* Preparatory Group A: JDG, GEN, RGE and C9.

We will divide these teams into four groups by drawing lots in the group stage. Each group includes one team in the reserve group A, B and C. Like the final group, no team can be in the same group as other teams in the same division. If the lottery results conflict with this rule, or this will happen in the future, the drawn team will move to the next suitable group.
Detailed introduction of each stage of the global finals
Final stage: September 29th-65438+1October 4th.
12 finalists will be divided into 2 groups with 6 teams in each group. Each team will play 1 against other teams in the same group. After this round of competition, the team ranked 1 will advance to the group stage, while the teams ranked 3rd and 4th will play 1 for five games, and the winner will challenge the second seed team of another group to compete for the last two promotion places. The two finalists who finally advance to the group stage will be decided. After the finals, the four advanced teams will be randomly assigned to the existing group matches by lottery, and the teams in the same division will not be assigned to the same group when grouping.

The top four teams in the final stage will join the 12 team that directly participates in the group stage. Subsequently, the 16 team will be divided into four groups, with four teams in each group, and each team will play two games with the same team. The top two in each group will enter the knockout stage.
Knockout: 65438+1October 20th-23rd (quarter-finals); 65438+129 -30 October (semi-final); 1 1.5 (final)
The eight teams that have advanced to the knockout stage will play the quarterfinals, semi-finals and finals in turn. In the knockout stage, the competition will become a single-loss knockout system, and all competitions will be BO5. The competition will be decided by lottery on the last day of the group stage.
The winning team will win the global championship in 2022.
