F 1 safety car rules

When there are stopped vehicles or debris in the dangerous position of the track due to accidents such as crashes and breakdowns, the safety car will run on the track. Or because of special circumstances such as rain, it is difficult for the race to be carried out safely for the time being, and the safety car will drive on the track.

Only the tournament director has the right to order the dispatch of safety cars. Once the safety car is put into use, the track referee will immediately show the yellow flag, and at the same time, the track referee will also show the "SC (abbreviation for safety car)" sign on the referee table.

It is forbidden for the racing car to overtake on the track (otherwise it will be fined 10 second). The car must slow down and follow the safety car continuously according to the ranking at that time.

Once the track accident is handled or the weather improves, the safety car will turn off the yellow warning light on the roof and tell all the cars behind it that "the safety car leaves and the game continues". When the safety car returns to the passage into the maintenance area, control the speed of the first car, and immediately resume the race after the car passes the finish line.

All laps led by the safety car are counted in the total distance of the race.

When the safety car leaves, vehicles are not allowed to enter the station until all the cars behind the safety car are sorted in turn (the red light in the maintenance lane is on). This is to prohibit all racing cars from trying to quickly drive back to the pit to refuel when the safety car is dispatched. Into the pit will be punished if he refuels. The driver will return to the pit to accept the penalty of stopping 10 second. When the maintenance lane is closed (the lane exit is red), a black flag will be displayed to the driver and the race result will be cancelled. After the safety car leads 1 lap, all cars will be prompted to stop and refuel.

Before the safety car returns to the pit to restart the race, the cars trapped between cars must pass through the normal circle and the safety car returns to the end of the team.

The championship has the right to punish the cars that have retired.

Five minutes before the start of the race, the safety car will check the track for the last time. After the inspection, it will follow the last car. At the beginning of the race, the safety car will follow the last car and respond to emergencies at any time.

After the race, the safety car will make a final cleaning inspection of the track.
