At the banquet, Tanchun painted apricot flowers, which shows that Tanchun is apricot flowers. Although Li Wan picked Lao Mei, in the Grand View Garden, only her Daoxiang Village is full of apricot flowers, which shows that apricot flowers also represent Li Wan.
As far as personality is concerned, Tan Chun and Li Wan are completely different. Tanchun is unmarried, has a hot temper and is never afraid of offending people; As a widow, Li Wan can best stay awake and never offend people. They are so different, but why are they all related to apricot flowers? Cao Xueqin arranged this because there are four similarities in their fate, all of which are hidden in apricot flowers.
Next, we analyze four similarities between Tanchun and Li Wan's fate from the implication of apricot blossom.
Apricot blossom means "lucky", which means that both Tan Chun and Li Wan are lucky to escape the involvement of stealing property.
Cao Xueqin is used to writing people or things in a homophonic way. For example, Jiao Xing's homonym is "lucky", which implicitly describes Jiao Xing's lucky fate from a girl to an official's wife.
In the same way, we can also analyze the hidden meaning of apricot flowers from their homophones. The homonym of apricot is "lucky", which can mean luck. It implies that Tan Chun and Li Wan will meet some lucky things-they escaped the involvement of stealing property and got a relatively happy ending.
The tragic ending of Jia family: the family died and the family dispersed.
From the previous 80 clues, we can know that Jia's family will end up miserable-their family will be confiscated by the court, their descendants will be scattered, they will become prostitutes, and eventually their family will be ruined.
Even those who survived spent the rest of their lives in poverty. "Bitter in the cold winter and broken felt in the snowy night" is a true portrayal of the survivors in the second half of their lives. Qiaojie was saved by Granny Liu, but once she was reduced to a smoky alley. In the end, she could only be a poor village woman and make a living by weaving.
In a word, most people in the Jia family have a tragic ending, either dying young or spending their whole lives. Only Tan Chun and Li Wan survived the disaster and spent the rest of their lives in wealth.
Tanchun: Because I have been married for a long time, I was lucky enough to escape the involvement of property.
There is no doubt that Tanchun finally married and became a princess. But we don't know when and where she got married. Some redologists believe that Tanchun should marry a foreign vassal and relative like Zhaojun. Some redologists believe that Tan Chun married a foreign surname Wang Ye who was far from the border.
No matter whether Tanchun is a distant relative or a prince far away from the border, he can't get married after the property is stolen. Because once Jia Fu was seized by the imperial court, Jia Fu became the home of the guilty minister, and Tanchun was the daughter of the guilty minister. The court will never marry the daughter of a guilty minister if it wants to kiss. Even if the court marries a border prince, it will not marry the daughter of a guilty minister. Therefore, Tan Chun's long marriage should be before Jia Fu was copied.
If she stays in the boudoir, she will be implicated when the Jia family copies it. Even if the daughter of a guilty minister is not an official slave, it is impossible to marry a good family. If she marries the royal family in Beijing, once something happens to Jia Fu, her husband's family will also be implicated, and she will certainly be doomed. Only by marrying a distant vassal state or border can she escape this robbery. From this point of view, it is because of her long marriage that she escaped the involvement of property.
Tanchun escaped the involvement of stealing property because she had been married for a long time. She also became a princess and lived a prosperous life for the rest of her life. This is her luck.
Li Wan: I'm a widow, and I'm lucky to escape the involvement of stealing property.
Li Wan's judgments and songs tell us that when Jia Lan grows up, she will have a title of nobility, and Li Wan will be crowned with summer clothes. Mother and son will have unlimited scenery.
In ancient times, guilty officials could not participate in scientific research afterwards, and even were sold as slaves or official slaves at low prices. But Jia Lan not only became famous, but also became a high official, and even Li Wan was sealed with a decree. The reason for this abnormal situation is probably that Li Wan's mother and son were pardoned and were not implicated by their families.
So, why did Li Wan and Jia Lan get amnesty? This, we can find the answer in "Good Songs".
There is a saying in "Good Song": "I pity the cold clothes yesterday, but now I miss the purple python." Zhi Yanzhai added a comment to this sentence: Jia Lan and Jia Jun are both a bunch of people.
It can be seen that after Jia Fu's downfall, Jia Lan and Jia Jun experienced a bitter life of "broken coat and cold", and later they both became famous and embarked on the road of official career. In other words, Jia Jun was not troubled by property theft.
Jia Jun, like Jia Lan, lost his father at an early age and was raised by a widowed mother. Coincidentally, neither of them was involved in stealing property, and they can also participate in scientific research and be an official in North Korea.
It can be inferred that the reason why Lan Jun was pardoned should be related to his young widowed mother. Perhaps the court thought they were young and sensible, and their mother was widowed for many years, so they were pardoned.
Although Li Wan and Jia Lan have worn out their coats and cold clothes, they are much luckier than Baoyu and others. What's more, Jia Lan later became an official, Li Wan was crowned with a gown, and the mother and son enjoyed all the splendor.
Li Wan's widowhood was pardoned, and Jia Lan was not involved in the property, which was her great fortune. In the song "Birds vote for the forest", it is said that "I am lucky to be rich when I am old", referring to Li Wan. **
Apricot blossom symbolizes "luck" and implies one of the similarities between Tan Chun and Li Wan's fates: both of them escaped the robbery of property and were not implicated by their families.
The second apricot flower means "happiness", which means that Tanchun and Li Wan have their own happiness after they escaped the disaster.
Apricot flowers can mean both "luck" and "happiness", both of which come from the homonym of apricot.
Happiness in tanchun: green leaves are shaded and branches are full.
The day after Tanchun's long marriage, we can only speculate through the above clues. Fifty-eight times, on the day of Tomb-Sweeping Day, Baoyu passed by Qin Fang Bridge and saw a big apricot tree with fallen flowers and branches, dense branches and leaves and numerous fruits. Baoyu felt that "green leaves are full of branches."
Tanchun is apricot blossom, and you get married in Qingming. Therefore, Baoyu's feelings for apricot trees indicate the days after Tanchun's long marriage-green leaves are shaded and branches are full of branches.
In other words, after a long marriage, Tanchun will soon have branches and leaves, children and children, and children will be full in the future. Since we can have a room full of children and grandchildren, I think Tanchun and Wang Ye love each other.
Love between husband and wife, having both children, is the greatest happiness of every old couple. So is Tanchun. Although her family has declined, the love of her husband and children can also bring her happiness.
Li Wan's happiness: his son succeeded and put on the laurel.
Li Wan, who was widowed at the age of 20, has already tasted the coldness of the world in Jiafu, a place with complicated personnel. Although she is in a rich country, she often shows helplessness and sadness.
A few years have passed, and Jia Lan has not grown up, but his family has suffered great changes. Fortunately, she doesn't have much to do with Jia Lan, but life is a little difficult. When the feast of dignitaries dispersed, she put down her lady's posture and willingly lived a thatched cottage life.
Although she is much poorer, but there are no complicated personnel around her, Li Wan may not feel that such a poor life is much more comfortable than the luxurious days before. Even if it is a hut, or a shabby coat, cold clothes, as long as the mother and son live alone, Li Wan is happy in her heart.
After a few years, Jia Lan grew up, not only passed the exam, but also became a purple python. As a mother, how can I not feel the happiness of Wan? What's more, she herself has become the most distinguished old monarch in the family, no longer a kannika nimtragol, and she doesn't have to look at people's faces. Such a day should be the happiest day in Li Wan's life.
Apricot blossom also means "happiness", which means that Tan Chun and Li Wan have the same fate: after fleeing the disaster, they will have their own happiness.
Three apricot flowers mean "farewell to relatives", which means that Li Wan will experience the grief of farewell to relatives in Tanchun.
Tomb-Sweeping Day is a festival to pay homage to the deceased relatives, which expresses people's sadness of saying goodbye to their loved ones and mourning for their deceased relatives.
The apricot blossom period in Qingming Festival is often associated with Tomb-Sweeping Day, and was written into poetry by the ancients. For example, "the apricot blossoms are clear, and the rain clears up", "the apricot blossoms are in a hurry" and so on. So apricot flowers, like Tomb-Sweeping Day, represent "farewell to relatives".
Tanchun: Sail for three thousand storms, and I haven't seen my relatives since.
Tanchun's birthday is the third day of March, and he is also in Tomb-Sweeping Day. There is a sentence in her judgment that "Wangjiang wept", indicating that she happened to get married in Tomb-Sweeping Day.
Cao Xueqin let Tanchun be related to Tomb-Sweeping Day everywhere, suggesting that her distant marriage is not an ordinary marriage, but a farewell to her relatives. This point has been fully confirmed in her judgment.
Her verdict is "separation of flesh and blood", and the title of the song reminds people of "separation of flesh and blood, never seeing each other". These two sentences also indicate that after a long marriage, she has never returned to her hometown and never seen her relatives again.
She never went back to her hometown again, because she was separated by Qianshan and because her family was ruined. What's the difference between her long marriage and "eternal separation between heaven and man"?
Cao Xueqin used apricot flowers to represent her, just in line with her sad color of Tomb-Sweeping Day's farewell.
Li Wan: It's sad that the only son died young.
Many readers believe that the song "Late Childhood" is about Li Wan's death shortly after Jia Lan became an official. In fact, the verdict said that Jia Lan died young, and Li Wan had the glory of a rockhopper gown, but she ended up with a lonely and sad ending. To analyze whether Li Wan is dead or Jia Lan is dead, the key is to understand the following sentence:
Wearing a tassel on his head and a gold seal on his chest; Wei Hehe, Mr. Lu, faint and sad, the yellow road is near.
As long as we know who is the subject of the road near the grave, we can understand who is dead.
Obviously, the theme of "I'm in a daze, I'm near the grave" is the same as "wearing a tassel", "having a golden seal on my chest" and "being desperate", because these words are connected.
"Sha Ying" is mainly used to refer to senior officials; "Golden Seal" refers to the official seal; "Juelu Gordon" refers to being a senior official. It can be seen that the subject of Dai Li, The Golden Seal on the Chest, and Juelu Gaodeng must be Jia Lan, not Li Wan.
Then the subject of "the road is near the grave" is naturally Jia Lan. These words mean that Jia Lan died soon after he became an official. In other words, Li Wan managed to make it to Jia Lan's success, and soon she will suffer the pain of losing her son.
Apricot flowers are related to Tomb-Sweeping Day, and Xiang Tao Village is full of apricot flowers, which is in line with the tragic color of Li Wan's bereavement.
Apricot flowers mean "farewell to relatives", which means that Tan Chun and Li Wan have the same fate: they will both suffer the pain of farewell to relatives.
The four-star flower means "homesickness", which means that Tan Chun and Li Wan will spend the rest of their lives in homesickness.
Apricot flowers are related to Qingming, meaning the feeling of saying goodbye to and missing relatives.
As we said before, Tanchun will live a happy life with loving couples and children around her knees after a long marriage. But we also said that she never returned to her native land, and she never saw her relatives again.
For any woman, it is a great misfortune that she can't go back to her family and see her relatives for the rest of her life. So is Tanchun. How can she not miss her family's flesh and blood while enjoying the happiness of her small family? She will spend the rest of her life thinking about her loved ones endlessly.
Li Wan's homesickness is stronger than Tanchun's, because Jia Lan is her only relative. Tanchun is still accompanied by her husband and children, but after Jia Lan's death, Li Wan can only spend the rest of her life alone.
Presumably, remembering my son's dribs and drabs has become the only sustenance for Li Wan to live. She may slowly tell her son everything in front of the maid-the first sentence he learned, the first step he took, the first day of school, the poverty in rags, the joy of scientific research and the glory of Gordon, and so on. When she misses her son, she sometimes smiles and sometimes she is sad. In short, she will spend the rest of her life thinking endlessly about Jalan.
Xinghua means "homesickness", which means that Tan Chun and Li Wan share the same fate: they spend the rest of their lives homesick.
Conclusion:
Tan Chun and Li Wan, two seemingly diametrically opposed figures, are closely related to apricot flowers.
Cao Xueqin's purpose in this arrangement is to use the four meanings of apricot blossom to write four * * * similarities between Tanchun and Li Wan's fate:
Apricot blossoms mean "luck", and both Tan Chun and Li Wan escaped the involvement of Jia's property.
Apricot blossoms mean "happiness", meaning that Tan Chun and Li Wan will have their own happiness;
Apricot blossoms mean "farewell to loved ones", which means that both Tan Chun and Li Wan will encounter farewell to their loved ones.
Apricot blossoms mean "homesickness", which means that Tan Chun and Li Wan will spend the rest of their lives in endless homesickness.
