The difference between glutinous rice balls and Yuanxiao.

The difference between glutinous rice balls and Yuanxiao lies in the different fillings. The stuffing of Yuanxiao is as hard as mahjong. The skin is dried glutinous rice flour. Therefore, a single Yuanxiao is heavier and easier to eat. The stuffing of glutinous rice balls is as soft as jiaozi. The crust is glutinous rice flour dough.

With dumplings everywhere, the salty taste of vegetable and meat dumplings seems to be rare. Jiaozi, the so-called vegetable meat stuffing, is just a stuffing similar to jiaozi.

Chop French dumplings into meatballs and add yam sauce, tomato sauce, ham powder, cheese and sugar. And then mixed with glutinous rice flour and mashed potatoes, wrapped in stuffing balls, cooked, dried and fried.

The glutinous rice flour used in "Yuanxiao" is made by soaking glutinous rice and grinding it with a stone mill. Cut the stuffing into small squares, then dip it in some water and roll it back and forth in the dry powder basket until all the stuffing is wrapped.
