The Buddha who gave his life to feed the eagle and the tiger

There is a story in the Buddhist scriptures, which tells that the Buddha cut meat and fed it to the eagle: One day, while traveling, the Buddha saw a pigeon flying and begged: Please help me, an eagle wants to eat me. Buddha comfort: Don't be afraid, I will protect you. At this time, the eagle also rushed over and said angrily, give me back the pigeon. Buddha replied: I have promised to protect the safety of pigeons, and I will give you double what you want to eat. The eagle said: if you pity it, then you can cut off the pigeon-heavy meat for me. The Buddha did not hesitate to cut the same weight of meat for the eagle. At this time, the king was willing to use his magical power to make the pigeon bigger and heavier, while the Buddha endured the pain to cut the meat for the eagle. Finally, the Buddha said to the waiter around him: kill me, that should be enough!

There is also a story about the Buddha laying down his life to feed the tiger: One day, the Buddha walked on a rugged mountain road and saw a thin and hungry tiger surrounded by a newborn tiger. Mother tiger was hungry several times and tried to swallow it. The Buddha was very sad when he saw it, and was driven by the pain of hunger to violate maternity. This is really cruel and sad! The Buddha thought that donating my fake body to it would not only feed the tigress, keep the tiger away from danger, but also encourage the public to love animals. So the Buddha jumped into the cliff and gave his body to the tigress.

The Buddha's sacrifice to feed the eagle and the tiger with his own body is regarded by the Buddhist community as the selfless sacrifice spirit of the Buddha, the so-called Bodhisattva Road. However, recognizing and advocating this practice is undoubtedly equivalent to saying that if people pay the price of their lives for the survival of animals, it is noble and admirable. In this way, if a person dies trying to save a cat or dog, we have to praise him/her as a hero, not a fool.

Are eagles and tigers inseparable from the human flesh of the Buddha? Don't so many animals in the world live well without the Buddha's body? ! How do so many eagles and tigers live in the world? Do you want to live on the mercy of your Buddha? ! If so, eagles and tigers would be extinct long ago! If all merciful people want to give their lives for (or feed) animals like the Buddha, then the merciful people have long been eaten up by animals, leaving only ruthless people and wolves, tigers and leopards on the ground. Wouldn't that let the wicked, the devil and the jackal run amok? ! Is it the result of the evil world created by Buddha's "compassion"? ! Can such "compassion" still be needed?

Throughout human history, apart from this "amazing feat" of the Buddha in Buddhism, I have never seen anyone voluntarily sacrifice their own flesh and blood for the survival of animals. What I have heard is that Song Wu, the hero who killed tigers in China, David, the king who killed lions and bears, and Samson, who beat lions with his bare hands, are heroes and warriors in people's minds.

Again, is human life more important than animal life or vice versa? Normal people certainly know that human life is more important than animals! Killing a person is fatal, but no one in the world is imprisoned or sentenced to death for killing an eagle or a tiger. Cutting your own flesh is tantamount to self-mutilation, disrespect and ruin your life. This is no longer a question of sympathy, but a cruel and inhuman act.

The Buddha's so-called "compassion" has been brought to the extreme, completely reversing the values of people and animals! It's no longer a question of human compassion. Therefore, it is purely foolish to cut the meat and feed it to the eagle and give your life to the tiger. It is a wrong act against humanity and common sense.
