Players who qualify for the Durban World Table Tennis Championships do not have to participate in other ITTF international table tennis competitions or the selection of large-scale events such as the Olympic Games.
It should be noted that qualifying for the Durban World Table Tennis Championships is only the first step to participate in the World Table Tennis Championships.
