Brief introduction of women's Asian Cup

Asian women's football first appeared in Hong Kong. In 1960s, female students from Southeast Asian countries studying in Hong Kong brought it back to other countries and promoted it in schools. The Asian Women's Football Federation was founded in 1968, and the first Asian Women's Football Championship was held in 1975. 1986 The Asian Women's Football Federation was merged into the AFC Women's Football Committee, and the Women's Asian Championship became an event recognized by FIFA and AFC. From the 6th Asian Women's Championship, it was called the official W-level competition, and changed to the women's international A-level competition after 1997.

The first Asian Women's Football Championship, but due to religious and economic factors, Asian teams signed up less, so teams from Oceania were invited to participate, and the championship was won by New Zealand. However, the Chinese Taipei Football Association switched to the Oceania Football Association for political reasons, so it did not participate in the first tournament.

From 1986, China women's football team won 1989, 199 1, 1993, 1995, 1997 and/kloc-continuously.

In 2006, Australia joined the AFC and held the renamed Women's Asian Cup. The champion was won by China. In 2008, North Korea won the women's Asian Cup again, and the Iranian women's football team participated in the Asian Cup qualifiers as the first women's football team in West Asia.
