How to test "Xiaoshengchu"? After the mock interview passed three levels, parents felt great pressure.
Starting today, schools and kindergartens in Guangzhou have started classes, and the winter vacation has officially ended. When most students are still thinking about how to accept their own hearts, the students of "junior high school" and senior high school entrance examination have already entered the state of "preparing for war" early.
Yesterday, 18 sixth-grade students from eight districts of Guangzhou participated in the experience activity of "Xiaoshengchu Famous School Challenge-Xiaoshengchu Simulated Interview Carnival" organized by Youjiao, and simulated Xiaoshengchu interview on the spot. Each student conducted an individual interview, a group interview and a man-machine interview. Some parents said after "watching the war" that children now have to bear such great pressure.

Interview three-level man-machine interview or a new trend
The "Xiaoshengchu" in Guangzhou Foreign Languages School was changed from written examination to "recommendation+interview". Guangzhou private school "Xiaoshengchu" canceled the written test and changed to an interview. Under the guidance of the state's requirement for primary and secondary school students to reduce their burdens, it has become a trend for Guangzhou's "Xiaoshengchu" to adopt the interview method, but there are still many parents who are puzzled and unclear about the links and contents of the interview.
The reporter of New Express learned at the scene that the participating 18 students were divided into three groups, which were conducted in turn in three links: single interview, group interview and interpersonal interview. One person interviews, and two examiners face a student. After drawing lots, students will introduce themselves in Chinese or English for 1 minute and answer questions raised by the examiner within 30 seconds. After that, in the "quick question and answer" session, students need to look at the questions on the screen and answer three questions about intelligence factors orally within a certain period of time, involving logical reasoning, current events and so on.
In the group interview, students will discuss, demonstrate and summarize the cartoon "If you fall, should I help you" in 25 minutes in the form of group cooperation. In the man-machine interview of novels, students need to complete 50 questions in 15 to 20 minutes, including subject knowledge and encyclopedia knowledge of Chinese, mathematics and English (including listening). In these three links, students need to strictly follow the requirements and get rid of paper and pen. At the same time, there are videos in every link, and parents can watch their children's performance in the observation room.
"The interview forms are nothing more than these three." Huang Xiaohong, president of Xiaoshengchu Team of the Institute of Excellence in Education Examinations, said that the format and question bank of this mock interview were based on the interviews of various schools in Guangzhou in the previous two years. Group interviews will focus on students' sense of cooperation, leadership and coordination. Guangya Experiment, the middle school affiliated to Zhong Da University and other schools all adopt this form of "choosing the best among the best". Man-machine interview is to reduce the difficulty of the topic and increase the breadth of the topic.
"Some famous schools may have four or five thousand people signing up for interviews, and it may take an English teacher a month to interview everyone." Huang Xiaohong revealed that at present, the interview time of private schools is short, the number of applicants is large, and the results cannot be released soon. Man-machine interview can solve these "difficulties" to some extent. Once adopted, it can give more children a chance to try, improve enrollment efficiency and promote fairness and confidentiality.
"I think the English questions in the man-machine interview are more difficult than the Olympics."
What are the topics of "Xiaoshengchu" interview? The reporter of New Express learned that the topic is not "thorny", but it covers a wide range. For example, open-ended questions include "People often say that every child is a book. What book do you think you are? " "Talk about your opinion on'10% compensation fee'"; There is also a logical reasoning question "livedistodevilas 6323 isto"; There is also an all-encompassing encyclopedia question "which city is called' Jiangcheng'?" Wait a minute.
"I think the English questions in the man-machine interview are more difficult than the Olympics." Tian Guo, a sixth-grade student at Jingtai Primary School in Baiyun District, told the New Express reporter that his "weakness" was mathematics, but he was more confident in the man-machine interview. "Because English listening is not about doing the questions while listening, but after listening to the whole reading question, you can see the related questions. I don't have a pen and paper, I can only answer by remembering some key words in my brain. "
The reporter saw at the scene that some children were too nervous in one-sided links and did not examine the questions clearly. When asked "What book do you think you are", Kan Kan talked about the reason why he likes Water Margin best. Some children are not used to the rules of group meetings. After a long silence, they asked the team members, "What shall I do?" There are also some children who suffer from myopia and don't wear glasses. They squinted at the screen for a long time and looked sad.
In the parent observation room, parents can't help laughing at their children's performance, but also pinch a cold sweat for them. "I have been thinking about how I will answer these questions and how much pressure I will have." Parent Zhong said that although the interview can show each child's personality compared with the written test, the time is too short to be objective and comprehensive. When looking for a job interview, many examiners still feel that an interviewer is under great pressure, not to mention a sixth-grade primary school student. "It is only when I arrive at the scene that I feel that the children are under great pressure now."
It is difficult to "sprint" an interview. Many students report to the class in the fifth grade.
"I only took a week off for a month's winter vacation." Zheng, a sixth-grade student of Hongmian Primary School in Haizhu District, told the New Express reporter that he had been preparing for "Xiaoshengchu" since the sixth grade, and more than 20 people from 38 people in the class reported to the "Xiaoshengchu" remedial class outside the school. In addition to attending classes in counseling institutions, I usually let my parents be examiners at home and practice every day. "I also recited ancient poems and famous sayings of celebrities," Zheng said, in response to the questioning session in the interview.
"Parents in our class attach great importance to' Xiaoshengchu', and about 30 of the 44 students have signed up for classes." Tian Guo, a student, admits that he is good at communicating with others, so he prefers interviews, but the students around him are still used to written tests.
Zhang Jiexian, head of the product market of the primary school of Excellence Education, revealed that since Guangzhou "Xiaoshengchu" changed the rules, more and more people have signed up for the "Xiaoshengchu" course, and the number has increased by 20% in the past two years. "Because the interview is not only about expression, but also about the basis and breadth of knowledge and logical thinking." Zhang Jiexian said that it is difficult to "sprint" the interview. Many parents and students have been enrolled in classes and trained since the fifth grade.
What can be prepared for the "Xiaoshengchu" interview should be brilliant.
skill
There are still a few months before the official interview of Xiaoshengchu. How should sixth-grade students who intend to apply for private schools prepare? Huang Xiaohong's tactics should be prepared from the following three aspects.
First of all, because they don't know what they will get in the interview, students need to review their knowledge of Chinese, mathematics and English systematically and comprehensively, but they don't need to dig deep or be too advanced.
"Students should be better prepared for the interview." For example, in Huang Xiaohong, basically every school will let students introduce themselves, so students should prepare three versions-Chinese, English and ancient Chinese. "In the past, some schools required the use of ancient Chinese." At the same time, self-introduction should be highly intentional. Most people will briefly introduce their schools, hobbies and family members, but the colorful and high-scoring self-introduction is either creative in form or meaningful in content.
"The gap in student interviews often lies not in the mastery of subject knowledge, but in the depth of answers." Huang Xiaohong explained, as an old proverb said, "What theme would you use to describe yourself?" Most of the students answered which subject they were good at, and the grades were used as a link. But one student answered painting, because "painting can bring great pleasure, and I hope my life can be described by myself", and "such an answer will immediately jump out from many answers and get high marks".
In addition, Huang Xiaohong said that in the process of group meetings, students should not only strive to be leaders, but also learn to be modest and polite. "anytime, anywhere is the examination room." She said that sometimes the interview also depends on whether the students' manners are in place.
