On April, 20265438, the Deputy Prime Minister of New Zealand announced that the opening ceremony of the 2023 Women's World Cup would be held in New Zealand. The 2023 Women's World Cup will be held in 9 cities in both countries, including 4 cities in New Zealand and 5 cities in Australia.
Among them, New Zealand will play Wellington, Auckland, Hamilton and Dunedin at home, and Australia will play Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney at home. The final will be held in Sydney.
Rules of 2023 Women's World Cup
The number of teams participating in the 2023 Women's World Cup will be expanded from 24 to 32. According to FIFA rules, 32 teams will be divided into four groups according to the latest world rankings. Among them, the United States, Germany, Sweden, England, France, Spain, Australia and New Zealand were recognized as the first seed teams in the eight groups, while the women's football team in China ranked second, with European champions England, Denmark and the second group of play-off champions in Group D.
There will be a group match in the World Cup. Before the World Cup starts, there will be World Cup qualifiers. Thirty-two teams will be selected from all over the world to enter the World Cup main competition, and these 32 teams will be grouped by FIFA. Every four teams are a group, and a * * * is divided into eight groups: A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H.
