High-energy early warning: a collection of short stories about human nature with chills in the back.

This is the third time that I have read neil gaiman's book. The first one is called smoke and mirrors, the second one is called the book of the graveyard, and the third one is high-energy early warning.

Every book brings me endless surprises and makes me feel more interesting and interesting. The more I read, the more I feel. The more I can't stop watching it, the more I want to share it with others.

Reverse after inversion

Especially when reading in the depths of the dark sea, I went from initial curiosity to surprise, to fear, and finally to sadness. With the author's description, my mood rises and falls, as if I were really in the dark sea, only hearing the sound of the wind and waves and my heartbeat, as well as my mother's inner cry.

The story is a bit like Sister Xianglin. A mother said to herself to the sea, "My son wants to be a sailor". She said it twice, the first time to the sea and the second time to herself. She tried to stop it and kept repeating the dangers of the sea to her children, but they wouldn't listen. He wants to pursue his dream, even if it makes his mother sad.

At the age of twelve, he got on a boat alone and drifted at sea for a while, making some money. When he was about to return, he was caught in a storm, got into a lifeboat and drifted at sea for eight days. He was so hungry that he drew lots to choose a person to eat. I don't need to say who he is.

After reading this, I also remembered Ang Lee's film "The Fantasy Drifting of Pi", but the human nature in this short story is even more cold and desperate, and there is a reversal at the end, which makes me dumbfounded.

That's how you know the truth when you lose your mother.

Obviously, someone on the boat told her that this person was the object of her affair-the first mate.

There are two ways to understand this ending. One is very simple, literally, that is, the mother told the first mate that the person he ate was his own son, and the first mate heard about it and chose to commit suicide.

Another darker but more reasonable way is that after learning the truth, the mother was unable to avenge her child, so she made up a lie to avenge her child in this way, forcing the first mate to commit suicide, but it may also be my over-interpretation, but I was extremely afraid of thinking at that time.

It can also be Snow White.

The story of Sleeping Beauty can be adapted so interestingly. I even think this adaptation is in line with the current background, more like a fairy tale of our girls. Why does the prince have to save the sleeping beauty? He can also be Snow White; Why must sleeping beauty be hypnotized by a vicious curse? She can also be a black witch, a villain, hypnotize herself, absorb the youth of others and continue her life for herself. Why must love overcome magic, but not courage? A kind of perseverance that transcends oneself and goes forward bravely.

The 23 stories included in the book have their own characteristics, with distinctive neil gaiman style, revealing hope in the dark, making people feel cold and full of compassion. Every little story is so interesting, just like opening a strange door. There are sailors, time managers, princesses, queens and dwarves, shuttling among all kinds of people, listening to them and perceiving different lives, really.

End.
