How to organize a Warcraft tournament

During my college years, I organized 3 offline competitions and participated in the offline competitions of Warcraft for about 20 times.

In my opinion, to run the World of Warcraft competition well, we should do the following:

1. Site problem. If you want to hold it privately, you can consider the internet cafe near the school. You should have a good talk with the owner of the Internet cafe. Playing in their internet cafes is also a kind of publicity for their internet cafes, so that the competition machine is free of charge. Or if your school has an e-sports club, you can consider playing in the school computer room. Finally, you can contact the electronic city near your school and cooperate with it (maybe even let them win prizes, and the general electronic city also likes to hold such competitions.

2. Competition machine. The number of applicants for the World of Warcraft competitions in the three schools I hold is generally around 60, and 10 competition machines are generally enough. If more than 30 people can use 6 sets of competition machines, the more the number of competition machines, the higher the cost, which is not conducive to management.

3. Registration for the competition. I suggest not charging the registration fee, because free registration can let more people participate in the competition.

4. Competition system. This is the most important process of the competition. A good competition must have a complete competition system. If the number of applicants is about 64, I suggest adopting the single elimination system before the top 8. After the quarter-finals, you can use single game or BO3 double lose system. If there are about 32 people before the quarter-finals, BO3 double transmission system can be used after the quarter-finals. (For the double loss system, if you don't understand it, you can go to Baidu to search. It is best to draw lots on the spot and compete in groups on the spot. There are some other details, such as game sign-in, lunch break, and some players may have to bring their own equipment. This series of problems should be considered comprehensively to avoid problems (during other competitions,

5. Competition reward. In fact, every contestant wants RMB reward, because it is more realistic. But the cost of RMB reward will be very high, and no one can easily come up with thousands of dollars. If this competition is held by yourself, you'd better contact Electronic City or Internet cafes to see if they can offer some physical prizes or consider social sponsorship. For example, you can ask Logitech or Razer mouse to offer them prizes. If one of your schools organizes a competition, I feel that the prize worth 1000 yuan is already very rich. Generally, there are 500 champions, 300 runners-up and 1000 runners-up. These are prizes, not bonuses. Or you can consider letting the competition Internet cafes use membership rewards. For example, the champion is a member of 500 yuan Money. It would be better if you don't care whether the money can be used as a reward, and it will attract many experts. Usually the prizes in the competition are moist, such as the prize worth 1 0,000 yuan. In fact, his market value may be 600. If your economic conditions permit, it is tempting for the champion to take out RMB 1000 from 300 yuan and 200 yuan, and the second place is RMB.

6. Competition publicity. This problem is directly related to the number of participants. If your school has an e-sports association, you can ask them to help promote it. If not, you can consider putting up posters in all parts of the school (be sure to say hello to the school in advance). Then ask the heads of all departments and the students' union to help promote it.

As for the referee, you must be too busy with the game. I suggest you find two more friends to take charge of the referee work with you. If you insist on being a referee alone, you will feel very tired.

8. The audience of the live competition must be well organized between the audience and the players, and there can be no signs of confusion. Competitors usually attach great importance to this, because the audience is likely to affect their competition if you want to hold a second competition.
