Maoming No.16 Middle School has undergone several changes.
1978, formerly known as Maoming No.3 Middle School, was founded in Longshan Road, Hexi District, Maoming City, with a campus area of only over 7 mu.
1983, Maoming Vocational High School was established in the original site of No.3 Middle School.
199 1 year, and was rated as a provincial key vocational high school.
From 65438 to 0994, Maoming Vocational High School moved from Longshan Road in Hexi to Kouan Street in Renmin South Road in Hedong, and the campus area was expanded to 46.5 mu.
1995, was rated as a national key vocational high school.
In March, 2002, Maoming Municipal People's Government adjusted the layout of schools in the urban area and decided to transform the former Maoming Vocational High School into a municipal key general complete middle school, and named it as Maoming Sixteenth Middle School.
