Matters needing attention in watercolor painting
1, note that the material of watercolor paper can be divided into cotton pulp, semi-cotton pulp and wood pulp. Among them, cotton pulp has better water absorption, paper will not wrinkle easily, smudge effect is good, and it can be superimposed repeatedly. However, semi-cotton pulp and wood pulp will not draw well.
2. If you want to draw a detailed theme, you can generally choose cotton pulp paper, which is suitable for accurate watercolor illustration; If you want to draw the theme of dripping water, you can use the overlapping method in watercolor technique and choose wood pulp paper. Because wood pulp paper absorbs water quickly and dries quickly, the only drawback is that it will fade after a long time.

Note that the texture can be divided into cold pressing and hot pressing according to the texture generation mode, and can be divided into coarse grain, medium coarse grain and fine grain according to the roughness. Among them, the surface of hot-pressed paper is very smooth and suitable for expressing details; Cold-pressed paper has a rough surface, which is more suitable for expressing texture.
4. You can choose according to the style you want to draw. If the illustration is more suitable for thin lines, the scenery is more suitable for thick lines. If the requirements for details are high, you can choose fine lines.
