Chinese name: Guanyin Pavilion mbth: Guanyin Pavilion Address: Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Demolition Date: 1972 Completion Date: 1976 Overview, Reconstruction, Overview Guanyin Pavilion, about 3 kilometers away from Longzhu Cabinet City, is located in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. It faces yangfu Beach Village at the foot of Yangfu Mountain across the river. Jingdezhen's nickname "Shili Tao Yang" started from here, that is, "up to Guanyin Pavilion and down to Xiaogang Tsui", which is the northernmost part of the ancient Jingdezhen city. Here, the back of the mountain is close to the river. The mountains are lush with trees and flowers, and the water in the river reflects the green mountains and green waters, which is beautiful. It has always been a good place for literati to chant and paint. Guanyin Pavilion, as far as its location is concerned, is built between the cliffs of Shidai Mountain, which is the main road between the north and the south of Jingdezhen and the pass with dangerous terrain. According to relevant records, there is an "official road" paved with stone slabs of Li Long (about 20 years ago) from the old county of Fuliang County (now quaint area of Fuliang County) to Jingdezhen. There is a small stone bridge outside the city, crossing the bridge is the city gate, and there is a slate engraved with the words "Xiongzhen in the South of the Yangtze River". The city gate faces Times Mountain in the east and Yangtze River water in the west, which is a dangerous pass. Entering the city gate, there is a stone road leading directly to the town. Walking up the stone steps on the left side of the door, there is an ancient pavilion with its back to the east and west, above the thoroughfare. This is "Guanyin Pavilion". You have a pavilion with a short wall in the west and a wooden stall for sitting, lying and resting on the post of the pavilion. From the exhibition hall to the south, there is a gate at the exit, and the words "Liang Shi, the main road of the Yangtze River" are written on the gate. In the early years of the Republic of China, this pavilion was repaired by the related monks and merchants of three gangs (Du Gang, Hui Gang Gang and Zabang) in Jingdezhen. It was completed in the fifth year of the Republic of China (19 16, the county government of Fuliang County moved from the old city to the lotus pond in Jingdezhen) and in August of the sixth year of the Republic of China. The porcelain table and stool beside the temple had partially collapsed before liberation, and the lonely hall on the top of the mountain was demolished when the cadre retreat was built in 1954. 1972, the nearby Qingtang village was in ruins due to the construction of a power plant, the newly built road crossed, the cliff was widened, the stone road was shoveled away, and the ancient pavilion was completely demolished. Today's Guanyin Pavilion is not what it used to be. 1990, Yin Fu Temple and Master Wang Kuan, the Millennium Temple in Jingdezhen, confirmed this place as a place of practice. Five precepts, lay people, heavy hair, Yang and others immediately raised several thousand yuan, bought 50 square meters of land and built a hut named "Kannonji" for the master to participate in meditation. 1993, Guanyin Pavilion Kannonji Daxiong Hall was warmly invited by guests, and Master Yue Zang, Secretary General of Jiuhuashan Buddhist Association, came to the temple as abbot. Buddhism in Kannonji is becoming more and more popular due to the careful care of monasteries and the full attention paid to Buddhism by the Buddhist monks in Vietnam and Tibet. Reconstruction 1 February, 1995, Master Yue and Tibetans spent their life savings110,000 yuan, and many lay people donated more than 40,000 yuan to rebuild the Great Hall of Compassion, which covers an area of 200 square meters, carved 7 new Buddha statues and purchased a large number of utensils. Then the Xisan Temple was built, and more than 20 large fasting halls and old squares were built. At this time, Kannonji began to take shape and became increasingly prosperous. When Guanyin was protecting the Buddha, the bells and drums rang, the Buddha chanted, Yue Xian was ethereal, and the pilgrims outside the temple were like clouds, which was very lively.
