For off-campus personnel
Open to the public from June 2 1 to mid-August. According to the requirements of epidemic prevention and control and cultural relics protection, the number of visitors to the exhibition is limited. Visitors can choose multiple time periods through the registration reservation channel and register in the real-name registration system one week in advance. The system will automatically draw lots and send confirmation information every Friday.
2. 3. Introduction to the Museum The Lin Wan Art Museum of Wuhan University was built by Mr. Chen Dongsheng, Chairman of Taikang Life Insurance, with a donation of RMB 1 billion on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Wuhan University, and was designed by Zhu Kun, a famous contemporary architect. The whole building is shaped like a flying stone, surrounded by green trees, adjacent to the central lake of Wuda University, and stands proudly beside Luojia Mountain, where mountains, water, forests and stones set each other off. The inspiration for the architectural design of the museum comes from an allusion: when Mr. Chen Dongsheng graduated from university, he carved the word "beginning" on a boulder at the top of Luojia Mountain, which means "a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step".
The overall construction area of the museum is 84 10.3 square meters, with one basement and three floors above ground, up to 28 meters. The foundation stone was laid in June 20 12 and completed in February 20 14. The completion of this building makes it the "first in China" construction difficulty. The total length of the building is 78 meters, and the cantilever span of the front end is 48 meters. Looking around, most of the buildings in the whole building are suspended. The facade of the building is made of aluminum alloy by artificial pouring, which is integrated with the surrounding natural environment through diffuse reflection of light; And its rugged sense of craftsmanship is like a huge meteorite flying from outer space, so some people call this building "flying stone".
