Baima Temple, located at the 3 10 National Road in Baima Temple Town, Chanhe Hui District, Luoyang City, Henan Province, was founded in the 11th year of Yongping in the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 68). It is the first official temple built after Buddhism was introduced into China, and it is the "source of release" and "ancestral temple" of China, Viet Nam, Korea, Japan and Europe and America. 1, Bell and Drum Tower
The bell and drum towers are located on the east and west sides of the north-south central axis in the mountain gate. The bell and drum towers are all square turrets, 7 meters high, with double eaves and resting mountains, covered with gray tiles and stone abutments. The completion of the Bell and Drum Tower has restored the ceremony of morning bell and dusk drum in the temple and the bell of Masi Temple, one of the eight scenic spots in Luoyang, which has a long history.
Step 2 lie in the Buddhist temple
The reclining Buddha Hall is located on the east side of the Great Buddha Hall. Originally Zhaitang, it was built in 1996. The main hall is a hard mountain building with five bays, with a length of 17.25m from north to south and a width of 5.4m from east to west. It is built on a stone abutment, and there is a reclining jade Buddha with a length of 5 meters and a weight of 8 tons in the hall.
3. Liuzutang
Liuzu Hall is located on the west side of the central axis and southwest of the Great Buddha Hall. There are six ancestors of Zen in the temple. In the middle is the ancestor Dharma, and on the left and right are the second ancestor Hui Ke, the third ancestor Sanshen, the fourth ancestor Daoxin, the fifth ancestor Hongren and the sixth ancestor Huineng.
