Is it reasonable for League of Legends RNG to be arranged in MSI group stage? Analysis on grouping arrangement of RNGMSI group stage

The rest time of RNG after the group match is longer than that of the knockout match, which is actually unreasonable. Previously, LPL officially announced the detailed schedule of the first phase of MSI. The first stage is the group stage. Six teams were selected from 1 1 teams to participate in the second stage of the competition. The tournament is actually the nature of the group stage, and then four teams are decided to enter the knockout stage, and the final champion is decided through three BO5 games.

Today, the official officially announced the stage arrangement of different stages of the mid-season competition, which also triggered a heated discussion among the audience. Next, let me introduce you.

1. After the group match, RNG has a 6-day break.

The previously announced group match lasted for six match days, starting from Tuesday, that is, May 10, and continuing until Sunday, but the time period of the match was not announced. After the official announcement today, we found that the competition stage was scheduled from May 20th to May 24th.

From Friday to next Tuesday, we can get an extra message, that is, RNG will have a six-day rest after playing the group match.

Because RNG ended on the fourth match day of the group stage, there is no need to participate in the fifth and sixth match days. Group match on 20th, with 6 days' rest. Of course, the rest is actually just a rest on the agenda, and the rest time needs to be actively prepared.

Personally, I think this rest time is a bit too long. T 1 has four days off. In fact, these four days of rest are better. Earlier, LCK explained that it questioned the official timetable and thought that RNG took advantage of the long rest time, but in fact, this was not an advantage.

T 1 there is a rest on the fourth and fifth match days, and that time should also be counted, and then there are four days left in the group match, which is enough.

Second, the MSI schedule is unreasonable and the knockout round is too tense.

The competition stage lasted for five days, followed by the elimination stage. From May 27th to May 29th, three BO5 competitions were arranged, that is, from Friday to Sunday. What I like to hear is that the elimination stage is as tense as last year. After the game, each team has two days to prepare for the game, which is a bit short.

Then there will be a back-to-back situation in the knockout stage. The team that won the semi-final the next day must play back-to-back BO5 matches.

At last year's MSI, fist arranged a back-to-back schedule for DK, which aroused the dissatisfaction of many Korean audiences and was considered to be partial to RNG. At that time, it was to take care of RNG's need to return to China in time to do nucleic acid.

This year, the fist still has the right to flexibly arrange the schedule of the knockout round. It can be said that the scheduling logic of fist arrangement is mainly for maximizing income or ratings. Match day should be arranged on Saturday and Sunday as far as possible, and good matches should be arranged at prime time in the evening as far as possible, so it is impossible to take care of every team absolutely fairly.

Third, personal views and analysis on MSI arrangement.

My personal opinion is that MSI's schedule is unreasonable. The main reason is that the rest time after the group match is too long, the rest time after the game is too short, and the finals are back to back.

Personally, I think it will be more reasonable to adjust the schedule of the tournament. The tournament starts on Friday and ends on Tuesday next week. Since the tournament has been held on Monday and Tuesday, why not reduce the rest time, let the tournament be held on Wednesday, with only two days between the group match and the tournament, and then give the top four teams more time to adjust and prepare?

The intensity of the group match is relatively low, and there are not many things that can be adjusted. Considering the wonderful degree of BO5, this arrangement is more conducive to improving the quality of BO5.

Then the final is ideally arranged in another week, with the semi-final on Saturday and Sunday and the final on Saturday or Sunday next week.

The latter suggestion may not be easy to implement because MSI should not stay in control for too long. An extra week will require more work and more expenses.

However, it is really unreasonable that the rest time in the group stage is longer than that in the knockout stage.
