Kaiyuan South Cave Scenic Area, located 65,438+00 kilometers south of the city, is the first of the eight ancient scenic spots. It is said that "Longyou South Cave" was discovered only in the Ming Dynasty. "Travel Notes of Zhou Yuzhi Dong Nan" contains: "The vine at the mouth of the cave is like a pale python, crossing its door"; "Yan Dan Cui He, the color is pleasant, birds sing and fish swim, and the dust is exhausted." Yang Shengan, the top scholar of Shu people in the Ming Dynasty, once traveled here, intoxicated by the scenery before him, and wrote the word "South Cave" by himself.
1574, Zou Yinglong, the governor of Yunnan, changed his name to "psychic", leaving poems such as "Nan Dongkou" and "psychic". Nandong Scenic Area is a typical karst landform, which consists of eight caves of different sizes, four of which are connected, the most famous being Taoyuan Cave and Tongling Cave.
