China University Basketball League, translated as "China University Basketball Association" in English, is abbreviated as "CUBAL", which is sponsored by China University Sports Association, exclusively operated by Ali Sports and officially recognized by the Ministry of Education in China.
League 1996 began to brew, 1997 established its articles of association, and 1998 was officially launched for the first time. There are men's and women's first-class leagues, second-class leagues and third-class leagues. Every year, more than 1600 teams participate in the third-class leagues, covering 32 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China.
China University Basketball League is the top amateur league in China in terms of competition scale, competition level and talent incubation. League matches have continuously precipitated the sports culture atmosphere of college students in China, and now it has become the basketball temple in the eyes of more than 40 million college students in China, and its influence is second only to that of the China Men's Basketball Professional League.
Qualification restriction
The qualification restrictions of Chinese college basketball leagues vary according to the league level. For detailed rules, please refer to the league competition rules published every year (see official website of China University Basketball League). The following are the general qualifications of leagues at all levels:
All male and female athletes who sign up for the China University Basketball League must be Chinese citizens, and enter ordinary colleges and universities after being examined and admitted by the Admissions Committee of the colleges and universities where the candidates are located in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Ministry of Education on the unified entrance examination and admission of ordinary colleges and universities nationwide, and they are full-time undergraduates, junior college students and graduate students with formal status.
Athletes should not be over 25 years old. Does not meet the relevant provisions of the Ministry of Education on the unified entrance examination and admission of ordinary colleges and universities nationwide. Or athletes who have been or still belong to national, provincial, autonomous region, municipality directly under the central government and special administrative region are not allowed to participate in the competition.
Athletes who have registered in chinese basketball association and participated in national U 19, U2 1 League, Club Youth League, WCBA League, NBL League and CBA League are not allowed to participate.
