The 2022 World Badminton Championship, the 27th World Badminton Championship hosted by the World Badminton Federation and hosted by the Japan Badminton Federation, was held in Tokyo Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan from August 22nd to August 28th, 2022.

In 2022, the men's doubles champion of the Badminton World Championships was won by Xie Hesu of Malaysia, which was the first gold medal in Malaysia's history. Women's doubles are defended by Chen and Jia Yifan.
The men's singles champion was won by Danish Celoron. In the women's singles competition, Akane Yamaguchi of Japan successfully defended her title. Mixed doubles champion Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong won the championship.
