The Premier League, usually referred to as "Premier League" for short, is a professional football league under the English Football Association. It is one of the five major leagues in Europe and consists of 20 teams. The specific operation is the responsibility of the Super League.
The Premier League was founded on February 20, 1992. It is the highest level league in the English league system, and its predecessor was the English Football League.
