The 22 large and small temples in Orient Mountain, represented by them, are scattered among the peaks and valleys, which constitute the unique Buddhist cultural characteristics of Orient Mountain. According to legend, on the day Yin Zhi built Baofeng Temple, Tang Xianzong sent a special envoy to congratulate him on riding an ox in recognition of Yin Zhi's contribution. It turns out that the emperor of the Tang Dynasty worshiped both Buddhism and Taoism, and thought that Li Er, the ancestor of Taoism, was also the ancestor of his Li family, and that Buddhism was the embodiment of Laozi's westward journey to Hu Change. Once the Buddha shows himself, he is riding an ox. So Xin used cows instead of horses. This iron cow is also spiritual. Seeing that Orient Mountain is the land of Zhong Ling, full of steaming clouds and the smell of Xia Wei, it is convenient to listen to the law. Thanks to rice and dew, it can't stand the temptation and can't afford to lie down for a long time, so it becomes iron.
White lotus blooms frequently.
The White Lotus Pond in Honghua Temple in Orient Mountain is named after the white lotus introduced from India. It is said that this kind of lotus will not bloom casually after containing a flower, but will not bloom frequently until the dead of night with the chanting of monks and the knocking of wooden rain, so it is called "Bai Lianhua always blooms".
Lv Xian Rixuan
Among the old eight scenes, there is a scene called "Fairy Walking on the Sun", which villagers used to call "Fairy drying shoes". Dong Fangshuo is an alchemist in the cave, and he often collects herbs everywhere. When collecting herbs, the shoes were wet with dew, so they were taken off when they came back to prevent them from drying on the cliff. Suddenly, one day, he was a great success, and he became one of the immortals. He flew into the air and looked back. One of his shoes was still drying on the cliff (the other one was missing). Then, he pointed with his hand, and the shoe suddenly became this boulder weighing 1000 kilograms. This is a souvenir he left to the residents of the eastern mountainous area.
Lingquan zhuoxi
There is a small well near the back eaves of the ancestral temple of Honghua Temple, which is one of the old eight scenic spots in Orient Mountain.
According to legend, when Yin Zhi came to Orient Mountain to open the Dojo, there were more and more monks on the mountain. In order to provide drinking water for everyone, Yin Zhi put a piece of water into the ground and pulled it out, and the water gushed out, which became the spiritual spring. This is recorded in the "Oriental Mountain Temple Spectrum": "Zhuo Xi chisels the pool, and different springs gush out", and the gushing water is "delicious". So people call it Lingquan and Shengquan, and write poems to praise them.
Daodong Ting Yun
According to legend, when Dong Fangshuo lived in seclusion at this time, he collected herbs for alchemy and devoted himself to monasticism. Later, it was a great success. It rose during the day and became the "Jin Xian". Daye has the saying of "one sage, two immortals and three old pavilions", and Dong Fangshuo is one of them.
Every long summer, whenever there is fog around Manganlong and Honghua Temple, there will be showers at noon or evening on this day, from the southern foot of Orient Mountain to Jinhu, Longjiao Mountain and Xiye Mountain. People around Orient Mountain call this phenomenon "cloud calling", that is, immortals and bodhisattvas appear. Especially in the dry season, people often look forward to Orient Mountain's "cloud call". This phenomenon of "cloud calling" is "when the cloud stops".
Chan Guan yue Yong
According to legend, Yin Zhi first appeared on the Oriental Mountain when he was building a house. In order to meditate, he personally set up a stone more than two meters high and nearly one meter wide, standing safely and looking for a Zen machine. This boulder is the "Moon Stone".
Because of its unique shape and long history, people believe that it has aura: people with low back pain can quickly eliminate the pain as long as they lean on the stone. There are also many good men and women who burn incense and kowtow to pray in front of the stone. In order to protect this stone, people built a "Moon Pavilion". The stone in the pavilion is proudly independent. A true portrayal of the cave clouds stopping.
