origin
Table tennis is an indoor sport. Two or two pairs of players use rackets to hit the ball alternately at both ends of a table separated by a net. Table tennis originated in England at the end of 19. At that time, some college students in Britain used the dining table as a table to imitate tennis. Later, as an indoor sport, it spread in Britain and was named "Table Tennis". After the appearance of table tennis, many game and toy manufacturers immediately heard the news and gave this new game various names with their own national characteristics. Among them, "ping-pong" imitates the sound of the racket hitting the ball and the ball falling on the table. This is the name of a British toy company registered at 1900. Soon, table tennis became popular. It's more like moving tennis from the palace to the ordinary family of ordinary people.
develop
At the beginning of the 20th century, this sport became popular in Europe, and the balls used also developed into hollow celluloid balls. 1926 1 the European table tennis championship was held in London, England. During this period, the 1 ITTF congress was held. At the meeting, the resolution to formally establish the International Table Tennis Federation, the constitution and competition rules of the International Table Tennis Federation were adopted, and the members of the leading bodies were elected. The European Championship was renamed as 1 World Table Tennis Championships. The World Table Tennis Championships have been held every year since 1926, and 1 940-1946 was interrupted by World War II. 1957, it will be held every two years. During the more than 20 years from 1926 to 1952, most athletes participated in competitions in Europe, and rubber rackets were widely used by athletes, mainly in the defense of chopping. By the 19 World Championship held in Mumbai in 1952, the Japanese team had made bold innovations not only in the racket, but also in the way of playing. The first use of sponge racket and brand-new forehand long racket broke through the solid defense of European players and won the women's team, men's singles, men's doubles and women's doubles championships in one fell swoop. In the early 1960 s, the Japanese team invented the loop ball and the sponge anti-sticking racket; China team used fast break and long chop. After the contest, China won the world championship with the score of 1 1 at the 26th, 27th and 28th World Table Tennis Championships, and the advantages of world table tennis spread to China. Since the 1970s, under the new situation of table tennis in the world, European players have abandoned defense as attack, combined Japanese curling with China's near-table fast attack, and combined with European characteristics, formed a new style of play: speed, rotation, double attack, pulling and hitting, speed and distance. Since then, the forces of Europe and Asia began to confront each other.
Rules and knowledge
In the early table tennis rules, there was no special provision for serving, because it was difficult for smooth boards or rubber rackets to serve a ball with strong rotation. However, in the 10 World Table Tennis Championships, American players held the ball in their hands when serving, and after the ball spun quickly, they tried their best to rub it with their rackets, which suddenly increased the rotation of the ball. Every time they serve five balls, they win three or four points. Results The American table tennis team achieved excellent results in 10 and1/world table tennis championships (10 won the women's singles and men's doubles championships; 1 1 won the men's and women's team and men's doubles championships, and the women's singles abstained because of the long final time). The appearance of this kind of service has caused an uproar in the table tennis world. There are few admirers and many opponents. It was not until 1947 after the second world war that ITTF made clear regulations on serving, one of which was that it was not allowed to throw the ball in rotation when serving. This rule has continued since then to this day.
