Brief introduction of shenhu bay National Geopark in Jinjiang, Fujian;

It is characterized by ancient undersea forests from 7000 to 8000 years ago and ancient oyster reefs from 15000 to 25000 years ago. Together with the ancient lagoons (Longhu Lake and Qihu Lake), it is an important evidence to study the sea level fluctuation, crustal change and paleoclimate change in the southeast coast of China and even the whole world since the late Pleistocene. Located in the Changle-Nan 'ao Mesozoic large-scale ductile shear zone along the southeast coast of Fujian, the park is rich in ductile shear deformation relics and records a beautiful picture of Mesozoic crustal changes. It is an important field to study the interaction between Mesozoic Eurasian plate and Pacific plate. There are many types of coastal landforms in the park, such as sandy coast, red soil coast and bedrock coast. From shenhu bay to Wai Tau Kok, a series of arc bays with fine sand and suitable slopes alternate with bedrock headlands, which is unique. The park has the only remaining Manichaean temple in China-Cao An Temple in Yuan Dynasty, and the longest beam-type stone bridge in the world-Anhai Anping Bridge in Song Dynasty. In addition, there are some unique historical, cultural and cultural landscapes, such as Longhai Temple in Anhai, Yakou Shilang Memorial Hall, Linshen Temple, Zhenhai Palace, Bishan plank road, Yandun Peak Fire Platform, Waijiaotou overlooking Kinmen Island and Paleolithic sites. Shenhuwan National Geopark is a hot spot in geology, geomorphology, environmental geology, Quaternary geology and prehistoric archaeology. It integrates bays, headlands and lakes, and is a coastal geological park with unique geological science tourism value.

Jinjiang shenhu bay National Geopark is located in the southeast coast of Jinjiang. It forms a beautiful bay from Yongning, a stone lion, to Yakou, Jinjiang, and Shenhu. During this period, the beach stretches for several kilometers, like a silver necklace embedded between the blue sky and the blue sea. There are blue waves in front of the beach. The beach is golden and open, and the scenery is spectacular. The beach is full of fine sand and pure sand, such as silver chips, with a fine slope and soft and flat sand. The beach bed is wide and stretched out, the tide flooded the beach, and the sound of the waves was soft. With clean seawater and moderate water temperature, it is an ideal place for beach leisure, surfing and various beach activities at sea. Along the coast, there are cultural and natural attractions such as the National Deep-Shanghai Submarine Ancient Forest Nature Reserve, General Shi Lang Memorial Hall, Zhenhai Palace, Longquan Palace, Avenue Palace and beacon tower on Yandun Mountain. In the Ming Dynasty, this was the frontier of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. In the early Qing Dynasty, in order to unify the motherland, Shi Lang used to herd horses and train here. Now it is a famous hometown of overseas Chinese, with pure customs and beautiful human feelings. It is a tourist attraction and the cradle for overseas Chinese who are close to Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao to seek their roots and ancestors.

Located on the tidal flat in Tudiliao, shenhu bay, ancient forests (Pinaceae, Pinus tabulaeformis C 14, with an isotopic age of about 7,500 years) and oyster reef remains can be seen at low tide, which are valuable physical materials for studying the tectonic movement, paleogeography, paleoclimate and paleontology on both sides of the Taiwan Province Strait.
