The traditional opera Peach Blossom Temple first spread in western Henan. Later, because of its fascinating plot, especially its beautiful singing, it gradually spread throughout the province and even neighboring provinces, becoming the most influential repertoire in Henan Opera.
I remember that the male Dan Zhai feast in western Henan was the first to perform this play. In the 24th year of the Republic of China (1935), when Fan adapted Chen Suzhen, he increased the scenes of Miao Shan, improved his artistic image, and deleted other plots such as sowing seeds, visiting temples and having children. Wang Zhennan also arranged a play for Chang Xiangyu.
