It is very admirable that you can realize this, just like the ancestors said, "straight heart is the Dojo"! Your own heart is the real object to be repaired.
Bodhisattva is compassionate at heart, but she can show anger outside. These are all manifested in the external world by accommodating the needs of all beings after accommodating their own hearts.
To really change a person's heart, we need to take it slowly, and the real progress of practice is precisely reflected in this internal change. There are many small aspects, such as better temper, greater tolerance, broader mind, calm response to adversity, and so on.
But the changes of all these internal phenomena add up to only three aspects, that is, the three main ways summarized by Manjusri Bodhisattva: alienation, bodhicitta and emptiness.
In those small aspects, with the deepening of practice, there will be many obvious changes. Small changes will gradually accumulate into big changes, and quantitative changes will cause qualitative changes, leading to a qualitative leap in alienation, bodhicitta and emptiness.
Some people don't use these internal indicators to measure the progress of spiritual practice, but look at induction and magical power. Really a fish in the water, thinking that he is practicing well, but he is in the wrong direction and will never reach the other side of liberation.
