Bridge in hometown

The earliest bridges in memory are small bridges.

Hometown should also be regarded as a water town. There are many winding ditches and many natural bridges around the village.

The ditch in my hometown is not wide, just a dozen meters. The bridge over the ditch is simple. They are often the two piers below and several long and wide stone slabs above. These slates are not closely arranged, and there is usually a big gap between them. However, this kind of bridge is relatively stable. Although there is no bridge fence, I am not afraid to stand on the bridge and watch the water flow under it because the ditch is very narrow and the water is not very deep. This Zhong Shiqiao has been called a decent bridge in my childhood hometown. They are all built on the important roads leading to the outside from my hometown, and they have to bear people running over animals. Although the stone bridge looks rough, it can withstand the wind and rain of time. Few people in the small village know when these bridges were built. Most of the stories about these bridges are rumors that they accidentally slipped off the bridges. Although the long history of this bridge has never been mentioned, it can be imagined in retrospect, because the thick slate on the bridge deck has been worn out, and the corners of the stone that should have been square have disappeared, becoming round and becoming hieroglyphics of the history of the stone bridge. The narrow pore between two stones is due to long-term rain and snow erosion!

On some rural roads, bridges built with wooden stakes and branches connect the banks of ditches. These bridges are temporary and don't need to spend too much manpower and financial resources, but they are also difficult to last. Generally speaking, villagers find it inconvenient to walk to the ditch and have to wade across the river or take a long detour. If it's ok to wade in summer, it's hard to wade in other seasons, and it's even harder to wade with heavy loads; If you go around, the road will be too far, because the ditch is usually very long, which will waste a lot of time. So some villagers spontaneously organized themselves and agreed to cut some branches, make thick bridge piles and pave the bridge deck with thin ones. The branches on the bridge deck are paved very thick. After paving, lay a thicker layer of soil on them, and step on them to build the bridge. It is very convenient for people to walk steadily on this small bridge. They don't have to trek or walk far anymore. They will like this temporary bridge and be grateful to the people who built it. It's just that the material of this small bridge is too thin, or maybe it's just that an ox cart accidentally walks across the bridge, and the bridge will be deformed. If it rains heavily, the soil on the bridge will be taken away by the rain, and the bridge will show its skeleton. After the rain, an industrious villager will mend the skin on the bridge again. However, Xiao Qiao's life is still too short. Maybe a year later, it will only have some traces left, and it can no longer undertake its previous mission.

On the narrow road where some people seldom walk, you can occasionally see a wooden bridge by the ditch. A piece of wood lies alone on the surface of the water, watching the water below every day, waiting for someone to climb over. The wooden bridge is always scary. Walking on this bridge always makes them feel scared and powerless, but they can only take risks in order not to wade and bypass. I remember when I first walked on the wooden bridge when I was a child, I was so scared that I rolled and crawled with my hands and feet. When I crossed the bridge, I was sweating all over. Although it was only a single bridge, it undertook the mission of the bridge and shortened the distance, but now such a bridge has disappeared and can no longer be seen.

Whether you come to a quiet stream or the choppy Yangtze River, you can always see this bridge. Different sizes, different styles, everywhere.

When you stand on the bridge, have you ever thought: What would you be like without it? When you meet a stream, you may roll up your trouser legs and run over it; But what about the river? You can't cross it like a stream. At this time, the bridge is so important!

Bridge has an obscure and selfless spirit. Although people always come and go on it, it has no complaints. It dedicated its life to human beings, regardless of the wind and rain, it will dedicate its life to the last moment. It is old and broken, and will be demolished and replaced by another wide and flat bridge. The new bridge will once again glow with endless youthful vitality and continue to make greater contributions to mankind.

From ancient times to the present, there are many people, just like a bridge, who have given everything for future generations in obscurity. They didn't complain and didn't ask for a report. Our dear teacher is such a person. They sent groups of students from here to there, but they were still in their original places. They really look like a bridge!

Love this bridge! It will give you a spiritual inspiration, it will give you an ideal sustenance, and it will enable you to reach the other side of life!
