What is an apec business visa?

APEC visa is also called APEC business travel card.

This is the APEC Business Travel Card Program (ABTC) launched by the Philippines, South Korea and Australia in June1996165438+10 in order to strengthen regional economic cooperation and promote the free flow of business people.

The economies planning to join the program provide multilateral long-term visas and fast customs clearance for their business personnel (all economies have special customs clearance channels for APEC travel cards at their main border ports). The plan was implemented on 1997, and the APEC business card was born.

With valid passports and travel cards, APEC business travel card holders can freely travel between APEC economies that have been allowed to enter the country within three years, and enjoy the convenience of using the special channel of APEC business travel card when entering and leaving major airports.

APEC2 1 economies have all joined the program: Australia (AUS), Brunei (BRN), Chile (CHL), China (CHN), Hong Kong, China (HKG), Indonesia (IDN) and Japan (PNG); Korea, Malaysia (MYS) and New Zealand (New Zealand).

Peru (PER), Philippines (PHL), Singapore (SGP), China Taipei (TWN), Thailand (THA), Vietnam (VNM), Mexico (Mexico), Russia (RUS), United States (USA) and Canada (Canada).

Among them, the flow of people between the mainland, China, Hongkong and Taipei, China is still handled according to the current method, and the card is not applicable to each other. As transitional members, the United States and Canada do not accept applications for APEC business travel cards from other economies, but can issue travel cards to citizens of their own economies (no visa function, only convenient access).

In the above four economies, cardholders in other economies can be provided with visa application convenience and customs clearance convenience. Therefore, China cardholders can enter the 16 economy at most with valid cards.
