What is the European Super Cup?

The European Super Cup is a single-round competition held before each season (about August). Starting from 1972, the European Champions Cup and the European Winners Cup are competing. In 2000, due to the cancellation of the European Cup Winners Cup, the UEFA Cup champion competed for the championship. 1998 was preceded by two rounds of home and away games. The tournament has been held in Monaco every year since 1998. Italy's AC Milan won the most European Super Cup, winning four championships and two runner-ups.
