Brief introduction of competition system
In the regular season, the home and away game system in the East-West Division is implemented. The regular season starts every Friday (Wednesday to Sunday) 18:00. Two games a day (one in Shanghai and one in Chengdu) changed from the original best of three games (BO3) to best of five games (BO5).
Teams in the East-West Division will play against each other twice, once at home and once away. The home team has the priority to choose the side, and can only choose once with the team where the division is located. The priority of choosing which side is decided by drawing lots before the game.
In the end, the top four teams in the East-West Division advanced to the playoffs, and the fifth and sixth teams in each division fell into relegation. The relegation tournament adopts the double-loss elimination system, and each game adopts the best-of-seven system (BO7).
The first game: the fifth in the west versus the fifth in the east (winner group), the winner successfully relegated to the KPL autumn tournament.
Game 2: sixth in the west vs sixth in the east (loser group), the loser was eliminated.
Game 3: The winner of the second game competes with the loser of the first game for the last relegation place. The winner successfully relegated to the KPL Autumn Tournament, and the loser was eliminated.
In the playoffs, there will be a lose-lose knockout match in each of the East and West Divisions, and the champion in the East and West Divisions will be decided, and finally the champion will be won.
The first and second players in each division will advance to the winner group, and the third and fourth players will enter the loser group. In the end, the East and the West will compete for the East/West Championship respectively, advance to the finals on behalf of their respective divisions, and compete for the KPL championship.
Every game in the playoffs and finals is based on the best of seven games (BO7), and the sides are selected according to the regular season ranking. (priority of edge selection: regular season ranking > points > net victory > winning-losing relationship > lottery).
