The German Cup is divided into six laps. In the first lap, 64 teams participated in the competition and were divided into two groups. Team a 18 and team b 14 were classified into the first group, and the other four newly promoted teams and 28 lower-level teams in group b were classified into the second group. The team on the first lap is decided by drawing lots, and the team with lower level on the first lap has the right to play at home.
All matches will be held in the form of a draw within the legal time, and the winner will be decided by overtime (both sides must finish the first half and the second half in 15 minutes in overtime). If you can't decide the outcome, you can decide the outcome by shooting twelve yards at the other side.
