There used to be a temple named Dacheng Temple in Shangge Village, Dongzhao Township, Yuci District. Because of its high historical value and architectural aesthetic value, it has attracted the attention of many cultural relics experts. July 20 13, with the joint efforts of Yuci municipal government and cultural relics department, Yuci Dacheng Temple was successfully selected as the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
Dacheng Temple, located in Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province, was founded during the jubilee of the Northern Song Dynasty (A.D.10/7-1021). In the twenty-seventh year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty, it became more famous because of Mahayana Sutra, which was an important place for Buddhist cultural activities in Yuci ancient city in history. Fu Shan, a famous historical figure, frequented the temple during the Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty. Dacheng Temple is also famous. Dacheng Temple was built during the reign of Emperor Wen of Sui Dynasty, and was vigorously built during the Jubilee of Northern Song Dynasty, reaching its present scale. Scholars of all previous dynasties stopped at castles, and Wei Yu was promoted. During the reign of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty, Fu Shan, a famous historical figure, frequently came to the temple, and Dacheng Temple was even more famous. Dacheng Temple has its own temple and a large number of monks. It is a famous temple in Sanjin, where Xuanzong, Wuzong, Emperor Kangxi and Emperor Jiaqing of the Qing Dynasty all came to listen to the Dharma.
