Any time is fine. Rules and etiquette for entering the temple
First, the rules of worshipping Buddha, asking for heaven and burning incense
Straighten your clothes before entering the temple and take care of your body and mind. After entering the temple, worship Buddha first. See the monk again. When you see the Buddha statues in Buddhist temples and lecture halls, whether they are wood carvings, copper castings, paper paintings, silk paintings or silk paintings, you should dress neatly and bow respectfully to the Buddha and Bodhisattva. If you are in a hurry, you must also ask questions to show your respect.
Laymen are not allowed to worship Buddha on the mat in the center of the Hall of the Great Hero, because it is for the abbot or monk to worship Buddha, and they can worship Buddha twice in the Hall of the Great Hero. There are three methods of Buddhism: Sanming, Liu Tong, Shili, Four Fearlessness and Eighteen Bufs. All living beings have a heart, and all Buddhas know it. Therefore, as long as it is sincere and respectful, there is no need to be obsessed with worshipping Buddha.
When worshipping Buddha, the action is not slow or urgent, the memory is pious, and the external respect is respected. Don't look respectful, dally with me, or cheat your dignity in the name of practice. The posture of crossing your hands is to put your hands flat on your chest. Fingers together up. The degree is that you can see the nameless fingertips. Palm should be empty, don't close it.
When you worship Buddha, throw yourself into the ground, not your ass. Turn your hands over, palms up, observe the Buddha's feet and touch the ground with your feet and forehead. When you worship Buddha, you can recite a eulogy in your heart: "There is no Buddha in heaven and earth, and ten parties are incomparable in the world." I have seen everything in the world, and nothing is like a Buddha. " You can recite it once or three times, and then recite the mantra of "celebrating the day and welcoming guests" three times. After the worship, you can worship the Buddha statue and say to yourself, "The king of France is supreme. Three worlds unparalleled, a mentor who combines heaven and man, and a loving father who lives under one roof for four generations. I want to convert today. I can destroy three industries. Say you're surprised Billions can't be robbed. " If you can't recite the mantra, then it's ok for you to observe in your mind when you worship Buddha: "I'm worshipping the Infinite Buddha of Shifang III".
No matter how many Buddha statues are enshrined in a Buddhist temple, it is generally enough to worship the Buddha three times. Personal practice depends on his wishes. If the people in the temple have gathered, cross your hands and ask questions, and stand with them without worshipping.
If a monk is worshipping Buddha, laity should not worship Buddha in front of Master or side by side with Master, but worship Buddha behind Master. When someone salutes the Buddha, don't go straight through it.
When asking questions, don't just nod your head. It must be bent 90 degrees or slightly weaker, not too low.
Flowers, fruits and seasonal vegetables must be clean when offering Buddha. If you don't know how to worship them, you can ask the incense master in the temple to worship them for you. Flowers for Buddha should be put in vases and fruits should be washed clean.
It is necessary to burn incense for Buddha. Many people light a handful of incense everywhere as soon as they enter the temple, as if they were not at ease without inserting any incense burner. Actually, it doesn't have to be like this when burning incense. Just light a wick or three wicks of incense in the big incense burner in front of the main hall. Method of burning incense: When burning incense, hold the incense with your thumb and forefinger, close the other three fingers, raise the incense to your eyebrows with your hands, and watch the Buddha and Bodhisattva appear in front of us and accept the incense. If there are many people, stick the incense vertically so as not to burn others. If you put three incense sticks, the first one is placed in the middle of the incense burner to say "for Buddha", the second one is placed on the right, and the third one is placed on the left to say "for monk". After offering incense, he put his hands together and said to himself, "To support all beings, may this incense spread all over the ten realms, support all Buddhas and honor all saints." When lighting incense, if the incense is lit, don't blow it out with your mouth, fan it out with your palm. After inserting the incense, you can ask questions without nodding and bowing again and again.
Do not comment on the solemnity of Buddha statues. When you see the Buddha statue in an unclean place, you should hold it and move it to a clean place. If you see someone disrespectful to the Buddha statue, you should speak kindly in private.
Second, the rules of chanting and holding scriptures in Tibetan scriptures.
Buddhism pursues respect, and respect for law is the basis of wisdom. The purpose of learning Buddhism is to enlighten wisdom and seek liberation. Therefore, we should be respectful to Buddhist scriptures and other buddhas, such as laws and regulations, and we should not be hasty.
Books should be carefully placed, arranged neatly and orderly, and should not be mixed with secular books or sundries. Respect the dharma as Buddha.
Group reading should follow the crowd, and individual reading should not interfere with others. When attending the Dharma meeting or chanting in the morning and evening, you must hold the scriptures with both hands. Whenever you read Buddhist scriptures, you must not roll them up, or take them to the corner and fold them in half at will.
If you are reading alone, before reading Buddhist scriptures, you should clean up a few cases, burn incense and sit up, don't put your feet forward, and don't eat while reading. We should be serious and respectful, just as the Buddha is in front of us. Before you read it, you should read the Book of Enlightenment: "There is no deep and subtle method, and there are millions of robberies. I am willing to understand the true meaning of Tathagata. " If you have distracting thoughts and delusions before or during chanting, it is best to close the scriptures, sit still or get up and worship Buddha, and calm down before chanting. Reading classics should pay attention to the meaning of words, correspond to the body and mind, and not unintentionally.
When reading a book, if possible, it is best to use a warp rack with a warp handkerchief on it. Open it when reading, and cover it with a handkerchief after reading. Never lie or sit in bed when reading Buddhist scriptures. Sitting in a rocking chair against the wall is not reliable, it is a sign of slowness and ease. There should be no snacks such as water, fruit and biscuits on the table except the scriptures to be read, incense burners for offering Buddha and lighting.
If someone visits or asks questions in the middle of chanting, they should close the classics, then cross their hands to meet or get up to welcome them. It is blasphemous to say secular words or curse the classics with a smile before they are combined. Of course, you don't have to worry about being disturbed by people who haven't finished reciting. If you stop halfway, use the bookmark line attached to the scriptures as a mark. If there is no bookmark line, use a notebook or clean thick paper to mark it. It is best not to mark the "foot" of incense sticks or lighted threads, because the color of incense sticks or feet may pollute the scriptures.
There is dust on the scriptures. Wipe with clean paper or cloth, don't blow with your mouth. Don't scribble or mark the scriptures. Don't use books as writing mats.
Don't laugh, spit or blow your nose when reading or reciting. When sneezing, cover your mouth with a handkerchief, sleeve or hand to avoid spitting pollution.
If the classics are damaged, we must find ways to repair them and make them as good as new forever. If it can't be repaired, it can be burned in a big incense burner or a clean place, and the remaining ash should be placed in a clean place to avoid being trampled. Don't turn the scripture from the corner of the page, it will bend the page, so turn it gently to avoid damage.
When chanting Buddha in the morning and evening, the scriptures should not be placed on the ground or on the futon. Walk with the whole book in your arms. Generally, the index finger extends forward, and the middle finger, ring finger and little finger are slightly bent. The middle finger holds up the lower edge of the book and the index finger is attached to both sides of the book. Press your thumb in front of the warp. Raise your hands to your chest, and don't shake them back and forth with one hand. Don't worship others with a scripture in your hand, and don't hand over to ask or say hello to others. When you hold bibles, you will hold them high in Qi Mei to show your respect.
Third, the rules of calling teachers, calling names and asking for benefits.
When you enter the guest room for the first time, you should worship Buddha first and then bow to the guest teacher. When you bow to the master, don't bow to the master, but bow to the Buddha statue. When you bow to the master, you should say "Disciple XXX bows three times to know the guest teacher", while the master says "inquire" and "once" means once. You can't go against the teacher's instructions and insist on it three times.
When you visit Master, you should snap your fingers or knock on the door, and you can only go in with Master's permission. If there is a door curtain, it should be gently lifted when entering and leaving, and then gently put down. Clean up your dignity in front of master. Don't be rude or playful.
If you have any questions, you must stand up and ask the teacher. Mr. Lu Yu was standing by and crossing his hands. Don't get too close to your host. Don't say useless things or talk about other people's right and wrong in front of master. Don't scratch in front of your master. If you yawn or sneeze, cover your mouth with sleeves. Always seek wisdom from Master Jing Yi. The master's instructions should be obeyed, but not obeyed. Bow and thank you every time you listen to master's instructions. If you are accused by master, you can't be resentful. You should reflect on yourself and confess to Master softly. Don't step on master's shadow.
Don't call the mage by his first name. When you want to ask your family name and legal number. Generally, you can ask, "What is the German title of the master?" "Xia Shang" refers to the two words in the French name. For example, a monk's dharma name is "starting a prairie fire", which means "up and down". Don't ask Master "What's your surname", because all family members take "Shi" (that is, "Sakyamuni") as their surname, and it is customary to match them only by their legal numbers. When calling a dharma number, you should not call it by its first name, but generally call a mage. Don't just call out your family in the name of Dharma, but treat the elderly monks as elders, old wizards, old monks, venerable persons, masters and wizards. Older monks should be called "teachers", "nuns", "wizards" and "masters".
Don't call me in front of the teacher. When we call ourselves "late bloomers", "students", "late bloomers", "late bloomers", "scholars" or "disciples" and "students" according to the relationship, we don't have to call ourselves unwise, incompetent and obscene.

Men and women can't go to master bhikshuni's residence alone, but more than two people should go together. When we arrive at the temple, male laymen are not allowed to talk to the monks in secluded places, and female laymen are not allowed to talk to the monks in secluded places.
When you go to the temple Dojo, you shouldn't wander around and peek around, even if the window of the room is not closed properly, you can't visit it. To find someone, you should wait in the living room.
Don't worship the mage when traveling, sitting, chanting, meditating, shaving, taking a bath, going to the toilet, taking a boat, sleeping, lying down, etc. In addition to chanting, getting sick, shaving and working, monks are not allowed to stand up when they pass by.
When Master calls, you should cross your hands and answer "Amitabha"!
Don't become sworn brothers and sisters with monks.
Please show me and make an appointment.
The teacher asked questions and answered them truthfully. A mage should not interrupt when he is talking to a guest. If he has something to report, he should stand aside and wait for someone to say hello. He shouldn't interrupt rashly. If there is an important emergency, he should say "sorry" first! Then ask for instructions.
You shouldn't talk to a mage when he is chanting, writing, having a class or having a rest.
Don't talk about your family's fault, and don't criticize monks at will.
Fourth, the rules of the hall.
Clean your body and mind and wash your hands before entering the temple. You can't enter the main hall from the center of the door unless the door is small and only one person is allowed to walk. For larger doors, you must enter from the left or right. If you enter from the right, your right foot will step in first; if you enter from the left, your left foot will step in first. In Buddhist temples, you are not allowed to stand with your feet, against the wall, against the table, with your chin akimbo, against the wall, or cry and spit, or lie on your back. When standing, you should put your hands together or stand up straight to show respect. Try not to yawn or spit in the lobby. If necessary, you should leave the hall. If you yawn at your temples, cover your mouth with sleeves and put them in your pocket when you vomit.
When we enter the main hall, we should worship Buddha. If we worship Buddha on the right, on the right and on the left, many people in our family have the wrong idea that unless we worship Buddha in the middle, the Buddha can't see him, which is wrong.
When attending Buddha recitation or chanting in the morning and evening, you must listen to Master Yue's voice when worshipping Buddha. When chanting, don't drag the cavity by mistake, but conform to the rhythm of the instrument.
In the hall, the right hand should be placed above the left hand, and Tommy seal should be made. Arms should be flat, eyes should be flat and eyes should be closed. Pay attention to the distance around the Buddha. The nose of the person behind should be aimed at the back of the person in front, and the left and right shoulders should be shoulder to shoulder to keep the queue neat. You can only go around the Buddha right, not left, to show the right path. People * * * practice around the Buddha, you must ask questions at the corner of the first circle around the Buddha, but you don't have to lift your feet, just tie Piluyin with your hands and lift Qi Mei. Walking around the Buddha shows respect for the Buddha. Don't look around, go straight to the Buddha. Look straight ahead and turn around.
Don't put the incense you brought to the Buddha or the rest you can give to Master Shandon on the altar at will.

Sit up straight, hold your head high, sit up straight and focus on your heart. Don't look around, don't lean on your chin, and don't lie prone on the table. Don't whisper or speak loudly. Cough is unbearable. Cover your mouth with a handkerchief or sleeve. Sit up straight or stand up straight when listening to the class; If you don't support yourself and bend over, you must be eager to try, concentrate on listening and think rationally.
Sixth, the rules of fasting
You should be polite to others when you are sitting in the hall. Upper berth or seats with good air should be reserved for older amateurs.

Turn around and cover your mouth with your sleeves when coughing, so as not to spit and pollute the dishes. There is no grain in the eating bowl. Don't pick on people's teeth, eat well and have no leftovers.
Some monasteries are small in scale and have no formal attendance during fasting. Just like attending breakfast and lunch, they should be served first. Before eating, put your hands together and say, "Give ten buddhas! Ten ways to support! Support ten monks! Support ten sentient beings! Seven, pending order rules
Laymen should take the initiative to show relevant certificates, such as conversion certificate, ID card, etc. If there is a sick fellow villager in the room, take good care of him and report to Master Liaoyuan in Yunshuitang or Master Chike in the guest room in time. When visiting patients and taking care of them, you should say in your heart, "When you see patients, you should be willing to all beings, be aware of your emptiness, and leave the law."
Don't smoke in the monastery. Laymen who find it difficult to quit smoking completely for a while should also try to reduce smoking in monasteries, only smoking in toilets or remote places, and not smoking in squatters or public places. Some monasteries don't even allow smokers to sign up.
Every temple has a statute of Yunshuitang, and singles should read it carefully and strictly abide by it after living.
In order to save electricity, don't nail or scribble on the wall. Cherish the three treasures and never destroy them. If it is damaged carelessly, it needs compensation. Attend the morning and evening classes on time. You must report when you go out. The interviewer knocked at the door first and then came in. Don't bring pets into temples.
