Tianjin International Marathon attracted 94,755 participants from 29 countries and regions. The oldest runner is over 90 years old, and the youngest healthy runner is only 8 years old. The top five contestants in each province are Tianjin, Beijing, Hebei, Shanxi and Guangdong, with foreign players 159 and 70 players from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. After drawing lots, 30,000 runners won the lottery.
In order to let the contestants and the national audience experience Tianjin more deeply and understand Tianjin, the carefully designed race route of this marathon is connected in series with major city landmarks such as Cultural Center, Fifth Avenue, Minyuan Square, Drum Tower, Nankai University and Tiankai Higher Education Science and Technology Park, and more than one third of the stage is adjacent to Haihe River, which fully demonstrates the city features of combining Chinese and Western, blending ancient and modern, openness, tolerance and openness, as well as the fruitful results of promoting high-quality development and creating high-quality life.
