What does Koshien mean?
Koshien means the most famous college baseball game in Japan. Koshien Stadium was completed on August 1st, the 13th year of Taisho (1924), which is the year of Koshien, hence the name Koshien Stadium, which is the home of Hanshin Tigers of Japan's professional baseball league and the most famous college baseball game in Japan. In the same year, the 10th National Middle School Students' Wild Ball (Baseball) Conference was moved here, so it was also called Koshien Wild Field. It is also the venue of the annual Koshien Competition. Koshien Stadium covers an area of 396,000 square meters and can accommodate 50,454 people. It's a bigger baseball field in Japan. However, because it is the home of Hanshin Tiger and is most famous for the enthusiasm of Hanshin fans, as long as there is a Hanshin home game, it is usually hard to get a ticket.
