Modern pentathlon includes five events, namely shooting, fencing, swimming, equestrian and cross-country running. Athletes get different scores in each event because of their different achievements. The scores of the first four events determine the starting order of the last event, that is, the 3000m race. The athletes with the leading points will start first, and the athletes with the following points will start in turn. The difference of points between athletes determines the interval of their departure time. Finally, the first athlete to reach the finish line is the champion of the whole competition.
triathlon
Triathlon is one of the sports events, which belongs to a new comprehensive sports competition. The competition consists of natural water swimming, road cycling and road long-distance running in sequence, and athletes need to make great efforts to complete the competition. It became an Olympic event in 2000 and an Asian Games event in 2006.
The modern men's decathlon was held in the third Olympic Games in St. Louis, USA on September 4, 65438. The decathlon events at that time included: 100 yards (91.44m) running, shot put, high jump, 880 yards (804.60m) walking, hammer throw, pole vault, 120 yards (1/kloc). This is still very different from today's events. There were six players in this competition, five of whom were Americans, but the only foreign player, British Irishman Thomas Kelly, beat all the American players and won the gold medal with 6036 points.
Project sequence
Athletes participating in the decathlon must complete the decathlon in order within two days. The first day: 100m running, long jump, shot put, high jump, 400m running; The next day: 1 10 meter hurdle, discus, pole vault, javelin, 1500 meter running. The results of the competition are calculated according to the all-around scoring table of special track and field sports formulated by the International Amateur Athletic Federation. The scores of each individual result are added up, and the one with the most total scores wins.
