I signed up for the National Youth Mathematics Competition in Wonderful Mathematics Park. After the preliminary and semi-final selection, I finally got the qualification to participate in the final.
On May 30th, I came to Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei Province, to participate in the finals with excitement. The content of this competition is different from the past. It's not a written test, but a way of reciting and defending. Because there are many people taking part in the competition, it is decided by drawing lots on which day to take the test.
I won the first game in May 1 1, and I was the seventh player. Finally, the game began. Because of my nervousness, I feel that time passes very quickly. /kloc-players from 0 to 6 finished the exam quickly, and it was my turn. When I entered the classroom of the competition, there were only two judges. I shouldn't be nervous, but one judge always keeps a straight face. My heart is pounding with fear, and when I recite a small paper, I either have more words or fewer words. Look at that judge again. He looks even more unhappy.
I thought, that's it anyway. If I finish reading it, I can't help it if I don't win the prize. When you relax, you don't expect to read well. The more you read, the more emotional you become. In the later defense, I also answered the questions raised by the judges.
After I answered the question, I thought it was hopeless. Unexpectedly, a smile appeared on the judge's face.
Walking out of the competition classroom, I was in a very different mood from going up. Someone saw that I was so confident, as if I would win the prize, and said, "Don't be too happy, you may not win the prize." Actually, I don't think so. I remember what my father often said to me: No matter what you do, whether you are successful or not, you can only play your best if you are not nervous.
This is the biggest gain after my first competition.
