On the New Year's Eve of the Tibetan calendar, the Tibetan calendar will eat the "ancient picture" on New Year's Eve, that is, pimples. "Ancient map" means "nine" in Tibetan, and "map" means pasta in Tibetan. Some "ancient soil" contains salt, wool, pepper, charcoal and so on. Eating salt represents laziness, wool represents tenderness, charcoal represents blackness of heart, and pepper represents ruthlessness of mouth.
When you eat these, it will cause the whole family to laugh and push the taste of the year to a climax. Accompanied by this humorous way, the family's New Year's Eve dinner is full of laughter. After eating the "ancient pagoda", a grand exorcism ceremony will be held, which means to drive away unlucky things in one year and pray for good luck in the next year.
Prepare for the "New Year's Eve"
Tibetan calendar1February 30th is equivalent to Lunar New Year's Eve. Every household will set up all kinds of "Kasai" (fried fruit) on the table and put away the boxes of horses and chariots filled with wheat and Zanba. Of course, there are highland barley seedlings, sheep's heads painted with various colors and kneaded with flour, candy, butter tea, highland barley wine and so on.
1, the first day to grab "new water"
In the past, on the first day of the Tibetan calendar, housewives would transport "auspicious water" from the river at dawn. Now many families have running water, so they don't have to carry water so hard. Therefore, the custom of grabbing "new water" is simplified to hanging a hada on their faucet.
Then wake up the whole family and sit down according to their generation. When the elders come to the box of chariots and horses, everyone will first grab a few pills and throw them into the sky to show their worship to God, and then grab some in turn and send them into their mouths. The elders wish "Tahid Leder" in order (good luck), and the younger generation will congratulate "Tahid Leder Pengsongcuo" (good luck, good thing). After the ceremony, we began to eat large grain and ginseng fruit cooked in ghee, and then toast highland barley wine. It is generally forbidden to sweep the floor on the first day of the Tibetan New Year's Day, not to say unlucky things and not to visit each other.
Welcome Zhega artist-Zhega to perform for vagrants and beggars. Wearing white masks and holding colorful wooden sticks, they walked down the street and entertained everyone with impromptu blessing lyrics, such as how beautiful the hostess is, how wise the host is and how lucky the New Year is. You can usually get happy money.
2. New Year's greetings began the next day.
From the second day of the Tibetan calendar, people began to visit each other, pay New Year greetings and treat guests. In the new year, the first thing people say to each other is "Rosa La Tashide Le". When visiting relatives and friends to celebrate the New Year, the male host goes out to greet the guests with a carriage box and wishes each other "Tashildler", while the female host toasts the guests with a copper pot covered with Hada.
When going to be a guest, the host should first propose "three cups" to the guest (that is, take a sip of wine first and then fill it up, then take another sip and then fill it up, and finally finish one cup).
3. Worship the "Roof God" on the third day.
On the third day of the Tibetan New Year's Eve, they worshipped the "Roof God", put on costumes, boarded the roof, and hung up brand-new colorful wind and horse flags. Afterwards, I simmered the mulberry branches, threw the rice cake into the air and cheered "Suo, Suo, Gege Suo La Galo". Finally, the whole family gathered on the roof to eat meat, drink, sing and dance, and held a "Tuozhuo" ceremony.
The Tibetan New Year will last until the fifteenth day of the Tibetan calendar.
