In September of 200 1 year, the two villages of Lanshan and Tang Wan, the former Chengguan Town, merged into Laipu Town.

Laipu Town is named after the ancient spillway. Xiepu, also known as Xihe River, originates from Xiangshan Mountain in Hengxi, meanders for more than ten miles, passes through Tiangang, Luanzhangpeng Port, crosses Yongnian Bridge to Xiepumen (under the cave this month) and flows into the East China Sea. Its pu was silted up in the Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty. In the Ming Dynasty, "Notes on Ningbo Mansion" contained: "Pu Ge is the ancient Bohai Sea, with Kunlun Mountain in the west, Bohai Island in the east and the sea outside, so it is an old city".

The former Jiazheng Village (17 rooms Jiazheng) is located in the south of Yangpu 1 km and in the southwest of Shanxi, with a total of 407 households 1009 (about 1998), including 88 non-agricultural people. Zheng lived in the village, hence the name Zheng Shifang. According to the record of Zheng Chuan Ji in Guangxu of Qing Dynasty, "the ancestor of Zheng moved to Lu along the mountain in the countryside, calling it Lu. ..... After VI, they were divided into seventeen rooms ... ",and then they became aristocratic families. In the Qing dynasty, most of the descendants were officials and businessmen, so there were many ancient buildings in the village.
