The correct way to burn incense and pray for blessings in Wutai Mountain?

1. When putting incense, put incense first, and then worship. Three sticks of incense is enough. You can worship in a furnace. When passing by each Buddhist temple, just cross your hands and worship three times. Hold the incense to your forehead, close your eyes and make a wish, and then worship three times. Turn right, facing east (usually the main hall door faces south), make a wish in the third step, and worship three times; Then face south and face north. After the worship, you can insert the incense into the incense burner.

Note: burn incense with your left hand, because your right hand kills you, and your left hand should be relatively peaceful. You shouldn't throw it into the incense burner. Don't burn incense when the woman's moon comes.

Burning incense in the temple is to light your heart, and lighting a lamp is to light your heart. At this time, you can get the blessing of Buddha and Bodhisattva, thus gaining wisdom and so on. So you can burn one incense, or at most three incense, without burning more. If economic conditions permit, you can put some merit money into the merit box.

3. Burn three incense, one for Buddha, one for dharma and one for monk;

In the middle of the cushion in the temple, it is for family members to worship Buddha. In the family, men bow their heads with the left one and women with the right one. When entering the temple gate, it is best to carry the hat and walking stick by yourself or put it in his room, and never put it on the Buddha case or the Buddha table.

Try not to walk in the middle. Everyone should try to enter from the side door, male left and female right. Try to straddle your right foot when you go in, and go out through the side door when you go out. Don't step on the threshold, be pious, be honest, keep your hands clean, don't make noise in the temple, and don't point your finger at the Buddha statue and say disrespectful things.

4. Don't seek to get rich. Buddha didn't bless you to get rich. You can seek peace and health.

Don't just promise to give the Buddha something to support and then forget it. Walk clockwise in the temple to worship Buddha, don't cross the futon, and don't walk in front of anyone who worships Buddha.

5. Without the consent of the temple, you are not allowed to pick flowers and fruits within the management scope of the temple, and take offerings and other things without permission. This is also a wrong behavior. It's called "stealing from all directions" and it will pay off.

Don't eat meat in the temple. There are usually scriptures in temples. Don't forget to invite a few. What is more precious than scripture in the world?

6. Instruments: bells and drums in the temple should not be knocked, and things such as cassocks and sea greens should not be tampered with.

Listen to the scripture: sit with all the worshippers. If you arrive late, the master has already ascended the throne. You must worship Buddha, take a step back, and then worship the teacher. After taking a seat, don't greet acquaintances, don't sit on the table, cough and talk. If you can't finish listening, but do it to the mage, quit quietly, and don't wave others to let you quit.

7. The monks in the temple should be called "teachers" or "wizards", and the monks in charge should be called "elders", "abbots" and "Zen masters".

Monks in the Lama Temple call them "lamas", which means "guru". Avoid calling them "monks", "monks" or even other insulting names. The common way to greet monks is to put your hands together and bow your head slightly, or put your hands upright on your chest and your head slightly lower.

8. When talking with monks, don't mention killing, getting married, eating meat and other words, so as not to cause resentment among monks.

When visiting a temple, don't shout, give directions, laugh at, walk around or fiddle with things in the temple. In particular, it is forbidden to touch and carve statues. In case of Buddhist activities, you should stand still or leave quietly. At the same time, we should take good care of our children and don't do impolite things because of their ignorance.
