Table tennis Guo Ping won six gold medals in the Asian Games.

Men's Team: champion China, runner-up Korean team, runner-up Iranian team and China Taibei team.

Women's Team: Champion China, Runner-up Japanese Team, Runner-up Korean Team and Thailand Team.

Men's singles: champion Wang, runner-up Fan Zhendong, runner-up (Korean) and (China) Ding.

Women's singles: champion Sun Yingsha, runner-up Hayata Hina (Japan), third runner-up Wang Yidi and third runner-up Shen Yubin (Korea).

Men's doubles: champion Fan Zhendong/Wang, runner-up/Lin Zhongxun (Korea), third runner-up Aramian brothers (Iran) and Lin Yunru/Chuan Zhiyuan (China Taipei).

Women's doubles: champion Tian/Shen Yubin (South Korea), runner-up Che Xiuying/Park (North Korea), runner-up Zhang Benmei and/or Muhara Miyou (Japan) and Mukherjee sisters (India).

Mixed doubles: champion Wang Dui, runner-up Lin Dui Wang Yidi, third runner-up Lin Zhongxun/Shen Yubin (Korea), and opposite Tian (Korea).

Competition details

In the high-profile men's singles final, China's Wang defeated teammate Fan Zhendong 4-3 and won the championship successfully. This is the sixth consecutive time that China men's table tennis won the men's singles championship after the last Incheon Asian Games, and it is also the 1 1 th time that they won the men's singles championship in the Asian Games.

In addition, South Korea's Quan Ji-hee and Shen Youbin won the women's doubles gold medal, while North Korea's Che Xiuying and Park Xiujing won the silver medal. In the women's doubles competition, the champion was won by the North Korean group Quan Zhixi/Shen Youbin, the runner-up belonged to the North Korean group Che Xiuying/Park Xiujing, the Japanese group Zhang Benmeiyu/Muhara Meiyou and the Indian group Mukherjee/Mukherjee won the third and fourth places respectively.
