Because Yongchang Temple is a magnificent, quiet and elegant temple. Abbot Shi Jide (native of Yudu County, Jiangxi Province, 1983, monk tonsure in Yongchang, 1985) started from Nanhua Temple in Qujiang, Guangdong Province, and made a three-step pilgrimage to Wutai Mountain, a Buddhist holy place in Shanxi, in order to pray for world peace and people's happiness. Successively served as abbot of CPPCC in Yongping, Na Wei, Zhu Sheng Temple in Jizushan, Yunnan, and Guangjin Temple in Yongping, Yunnan. More than ten permanent residents, including Hui You, Shi, Shi Zuwei and Shi Zusen, carried forward the fine tradition of Buddhism, paid equal attention to pure Zen, worked hard, built temples, shaped icons, shone on temples, and attracted pilgrims from neighboring counties and cities such as Guangdong, Fujian, Zhejiang, Shanghai and Hong Kong to worship and convert.
